Visualization: A Great Tool for Success

Visualization is a mental process that makes real our deepest dreams and goals through our imagination, that is to say, it pictures in our minds what we would like to achieve in our outside world. Visualization creates in our own minds the life of our dreams, and if we are able to achieve it in our own minds, we can achieve it in our real life.

"Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere." - Albert Einstein #visualization

Visualization is more powerful than we think, because it actually helps us to create the positive outcomes we would like to achieve in our lives. When you are able to see in your mind your dreams and goals as something that already happen, you are able to create the life of your dreams and make everything a reality. Visualization is not only a way of dreaming, but it is a way of making your dreams and goals come true.

Every successful person has used the tool of visualization either consciously or unconsciously. For instance, visualization is very used in sports, many athletes have visualized themselves as having already achieved the positive outcomes they would like to achieve in the real life. Day after day these people imagine themselves as already being victorious, they constantly visualize in their minds the victory, they see it, they feel it as if they already were in that glorious moment, and that together with training, commitment and perseverance is what makes them achieve in their life the outcomes they already imagine in their own minds. For example, the boxing legend Muhammad Ali was always aware of the importance of visualization. He always pictured himself as being victorious before every fight.

“Champions aren’t made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them-a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have the skill, and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill.” – Muhammad Ali

When we visualize something, we are able to see it as real in our mind, and when we are able to see something then we are able to believe in it. It is proved that our brain cannot see the difference between a visualized image and reality, that is why when we think about something that we would like to happen, we feel the emotions and feelings as if it were already real.  That is why visualization is so powerful, because it makes already real that we haven’t experienced in our physical world yet.

Visualization is not magic, it is not like you will imagine something with your eyes closed, and when you open your eyes it will already be there, but visualization is a great tool that you can use together with commitment and perseverance to succeed. When you visualize, your brain understands what you imagine as already being real and then it gives you the right emotions, feelings and beliefs what will help to form your habits and behaviours. Therefore, visualization will help you develop the right habits, skills, and behaviours in order to make your dreams and goals become a reality in your outside world.

“Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will.” – George Bernard Shaw

There is a good example of visualization that always inspire me: The actor Jim Carrey used the power of visualization when he was struggling to become an actor, he wrote himself a check for the amount of $10 million for “his acting service rendered” and years later he got the same amount for his role in Dumb and Dumber. That’s amazing, isn’t it? That is what happens when you hold in your mind the greatest vision about yourself and your life. When you visualize your dream, every time you can, and you do everything you can in order to achieve your goals and dreams, miracles occur. In my case, when I was younger, I always imagine myself living in another country, travelling around the world. I always closed my eyes and felt what was it to be living in a different country, and years later here I am living in a third country, and about to move to my fourth.

So we can say that visualization makes everything possible, it not only pictures in your mind your deepest goals and dreams, but it lets your brain know that those things are possible and real, and your brain provides you with beliefs of success, and that gives you the emotions as if you were already living your dream, and those emotions motivates you to become the best version of yourself, and that way you adopt the right habits and behaviours to make your dreams come true. This way we can see what a great tool visualization is.

Visualize your goals and dreams with all your heart, imagine yourself as already having achieved your goals and dreams, see every detail, caresses the glory, savour every victory and wait for the miracle!

Do You Really Believe In Your Dreams?

Do you really believe in your dreams? Because dreaming is not enough, in order to make your dreams come true, you must believe in them with all your heart. If you truly believe in your dreams, there is nothing that can stop you from making them become a reality.

"Imagine with all your mind, believe with all your heart, achieve with all your might." #believe

We all have dreams, but only few of us are able to turn them into a reality, and why this happens? Well, the reasons are varied, but one of the main reasons is because we don’t really believe in our dreams, within ourselves, in that place we do not know, where our beliefs are kept, we hold the belief that our dreams are impossible or difficult to come true, and those beliefs actually sabotage our dreams. No matter what we do, we continue to fail in the attempt to make them a reality, because somehow we know they are impossible, and that belief creates our reality.

Believing is one of the main tools we have to create the life we want and if we believe in something as impossible, that belief will help create the fact that our reality is not a place where dreams are possible and our dreams will remain dreams until the end of our days on this earth, without the possibility to actually live the life we have always dreamed of.

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

To a greater or lesser extent we are all dreamers, but because of the limitations we all have in our mind because of our fears imposed by the outside world, only few of us have the possibility to live the life of our dreams, and that’s because those people have not only dreamed, but also believed, not only believed but also they have done everything they could to turn their dreams into a reality. For those people nothing is impossible, they dreamed and they believed with all their might even when nobody believed in them, those people are unstoppable dream hunters, and they never stopped until they succeeded.

Everyone can dream but not everyone can truly believe, and it doesn’t matter how much you dream and how many dreams you have, if you don’t believe in them, if you don’t believe they are possible, they never will be, because nobody is going to try to make something impossible into possible, for instance, you are not going to jump from a building expecting to fly when you know deep inside your heart that flying is impossible, you are not even going to try, you dream of flying, but you know it’s impossible, so you will do nothing, end of story.

“To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.” – Anatole France

Believing makes everything possible, because it actually changes your mental programming which has been programmed with a very narrow perspective, and by changing your beliefs, you change your whole life. When you actually start believing in your dreams, you broaden your perspective and what was once impossible for you, it is now possible, and so, your dreams start to feel more real.

So, do you really believe in your dreams? Try to be honest with yourself – Close your eyes for a second and think about your dream, can you see it? Well, now try to see yourself in your dream, visualize it; make it real, how does it look like? How does it feel? It feels great, isn’t it? Well, now look around you, and try to look yourself at the mirror, can you imagine that person you are seeing capable of achieving anything? Do you believe in that person? Yes? And so do you believe in your dream? Do you believe it’s possible? So what are you waiting for? Go out and make it happen!

Dreams are possible for those who dare to believe they can come true. Believe that what you want is possible, and it will! Dream, Believe, Achieve.

The way to the top

The way to the top it’s tough, but it isn’t as tough as living the rest of your life looking it from below and wishing to be there. You will find on the way to the top many difficulties, but it will be worth it, because the view from the top is definitely outstanding.

"It's easier to go down a hill than up it but the view is much better at the top." - Henry Ward Beecher

We all want to reach the top of something, for some of us it can be really high and for others not so much, the important thing is to have the desire to get somewhere, that means we have something that motivates us to become the best version of ourselves so we can reach that top, and that makes us to be truly alive, because if we don’t want to reach anything, if we don’t have dreams and goals and desires, then we are just walking corpses.

So once you have the desire to get to the top, you must make the first step, because that is the most important step, it means that despite all your fears and doubts, you have made the decision to follow your heart, and it requires a lot of courage and strength to do that. It doesn’t matter how slow you go, what really matters is not giving up. Once you start climbing, you can stop and slow down, but never look back until you get to the top.

We just wanna remember the view from the top, the breathtaking moment at the edge of the world, that’s what keeps us climbing and it’s worth the pain, that’s the crazy part, It’s worth anything!” – Meredith Grey

Have you ever tried to climb a mountain or a hill? It is never easy, right? Because the way to the top is always full of obstacles, difficulties and hardships, and require a lot of strength to keep going up. There are always things, situations, people who will interfere with our way and will make us want to give up, and you will have to face all your fears through the path, they will try to stop you, the will try to confuse you, and they will try to push you back to the bottom.

There will be moments where you will feel that you can’t stand it anymore, you will feel that you have lost strength and you will feel breathless, but in that moment just close your eyes, disconnect your mind from anything else around you, and just listen to your heart and ask yourself the most powerful question: Why? Why am I doing this? If in that moment you can visualize your dream and you can feel as you have reached the top and if it makes your heart to beat faster and puts a smile on your face, then you will have the answer to that question, and you will know that all that suffering is worth it, and you will stand up and you will keep moving forward with confidence.

“This journey to the top is going to be the most exciting and rewarding trip you’ll ever take!” – Zig Ziglar

Don’t give up and don’t allow your fears to stop you, because they will try to paralyze you, no matter how hard it seems just keep moving forward, it will be tough and you will have to face many difficulties, but it will be worth it!

It’s a long way to the top if you want to see your dreams become a reality, but with commitment, perseverance, and trust in yourself is possible. You can do it, see you at the top my friends!

Find your inner child

Find your inner child, and you will find yourself again. Go back to those times where everything seemed to be possible, those times where you could become whatever you wanted, those times where you could just be yourself.

“When childhood dies, its corpses are called adults and they enter society, one of the politer names of hell.  That is why we dread children, even if we love them, they show us the state of our decay.”

Brian Aldiss

Somehow we have mixed up the meaning of being a child, we gave to that word the meaning of being immature, not fully grown or emotionally undeveloped, and so when someone acts like a child, we say that he is a very immature person. But then I ask myself, every bad behavior which is realized day by day by humans against the world and every being around them, it is not an immature behavior?

The humans, especially those who are considered to be very mature, are the one who are destroying everything and everyone around them, even though they have been blessed with a beautiful world, a magnificent body with a wonderful mind with the power to create everything they want, but which they not used to create but to destroy, it is this a mature behavior?

“Children have neither past nor future; they enjoy the present, which very few of us do.” – Jean de la Bruyere

The adults, those considered mature, are those who are constantly competing with each other, fighting with each other and those who are killing to each other, those people have forgotten the most important values as love, compassion, understanding, kindness, companionship and so on. And they have forgotten all that, because they have become a selfish person, they have become people who are only concerned with their own affairs.

When you grow up and become an adult, leaving the child behind, condemning the child spirit inside you to a death sentence, that’s when most of your dreams die, and that’s when part of your true self dies too, becoming your worst enemy. When you cease to be a child, you become vulnerable to all evil in this world, evil disguised as happiness, and so you let other adults who are also brainwashed by evil, to tell you what should you become in life, and what you should achieve either money, power, fame, material things and other nonsense.

“Be happy for no reason, like a child. If you are happy for a reason, you’re in trouble, because that reason can be taken from you.” – Deepak Chopra

So I prefer to be like a child rather than an adult whose brain has been washed, I prefer the innocence of a child, a child who laugh just because he can, a child with creativity and imagination, a child who dreams, a child that believe that he can do anything in the world, a child who believe that he can be a superhero and help people, a child full of joy and love, a child that can see the beauty in the small things, a child who is happy for no reason, a child who can love even those things that are product of his imagination, a child who has friends no matter where they come from, a child who doesn’t discriminate others for their religion or race, a child who doesn’t know how to hate, a child who loves truly, and who is always loyal to that love without any kind of interest, selfishness, limitations or expectations.

“Hold the hand of the child that lives in your soul. For this child, nothing is impossible.” – Paulo Coelho

A child is an angel, who has become a puppet due to the environment where he was born, an environment which has taught him how to become a person with no dreams, no imagination, no hope, no happiness and no love.

It is time for all adults in this world find their inner child, that child who can make you be yourself again, who can bring you joy, happiness, hope and love, that child who will make you dream again, and will make you believe that everything is possible, that magic and miracles actually exist, so find you inner child, the one will make you a happy person again for no reason, a person who is grateful, specially for the small and more important things in this world, so find your inner child, play, laugh, have fun, enjoy life, be happy, dream, smile and live your life again.

“What a distressing contrast there is between the radiant intelligence of the child and the feeble mentality of the average adult.”

Sigmund Freud
