Our Silence: The Weapon of Evil

The evil has triumphed, without much effort has defeated the good, snatching its crown, and now, sitting on its throne runs the world. Its power has been the inaction of the good people, and their silence was its lethal weapon. Our silence is causing our own destruction, therefore, it is in our hands to take action and stop so much suffering.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke

Our silence against the horrors of the world it is what has given to evil the power to conquer the world. Day after day, horrendous acts are being carried out around the world, and humanity remains silent. Evil act with impunity under our noses, and all of us, blind and deaf to the desperate cries of its victims, we remain motionless, speechless, before so much pain.

Our silence is the weapon that has been used by evil to win. It has not damaged its victims as much as we have damaged them with our silence. We are all accomplices of the atrocities committed in the world by remaining silent and looking away to those who claim our help. Our silence is our own punishment, because it condemns us to live in a world full of darkness ruled by evil, where nobody is exempt of its power.

In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

If the evil has won is because we have let it to win. Wars, murders, violence, rape, bullying, racism, and much more, all happen in front of our eyes, and our silence is our response. We become very confused and stunned before such atrocities but then we continue with our daily duties as if nothing happened. The problem is we do not act until evil touches us close. Once we face the clutches of evil, our silence becomes a cry, and the cry becomes a prayer, and then we realize that nobody seems to listen, and it is in that moment when we realize that humanity is too worried doing something else to listen to those who claim our help.

How different would everything be if we would realize the power we all have within. Together we can make this world a better place. It is the power of the good ones, what can put the evil on its knees, but for doing so we must not stay silent, but speak, not stay still, but act. The problem is we are not aware of our power, we believe we cannot make a difference, so we give up before trying. We wish and hope that someone, one day, will do something to help those who need it, but most of the time, that help never comes, and the pain of those who are suffering never ends. The only thing that we do, that does not help in any way is by remaining silent. Therefore, every little thing we can do counts.

“The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything.” – Albert Einstein

Love is what this world lacks. A love revolution is what we need to do if we want to live in peace. We need to know that nothing will change if we remain silent before the different types of atrocities that are committed each day. Together we must fight against evil, not with violence but we love, compassion and understanding. Every act of evil we see must be repudiated, and we must act in order to prevent any more suffering. Those who do evil need to know that we are not like them, and we must give them our good example. We must express and declare that we are all together regardless our race, culture or religion. Not any other innocent human being should suffer by the hands of those who do evil.

Together we can defeat evil, not by remaining silent but by raising our voices. It is time for us to do everything we can in order to stop those which threaten our own existence. Our voices need to be heard and our message must be clear: Yes to love and peace, No to violence and hate!

Lack of Empathy: The Murderer of our Humanity?

Our lack of empathy, that is to say, our lack of ability to recognize and understand the feelings of another, is killing the humanity that is left in our society. Everything that is happening in the world just made me realize one thing: We have learned nothing.

"Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?" - Henry David Thoreau #empathy

Our own world has been the witness of our own destruction through the years. For years the human beings has been fighting for different reasons, most of them has been the cause of our own separation, where most of the time was generated through the efforts of those who govern us, who have always planted seeds of hate in human hearts, only to satisfy their own ambitious and selfish needs.

Through the years, all those people, the ones with the power, have taken the time to think the best way to control the whole world, and the best plan was launched: Separating people from each other by Nationality, Race, Gender and Religion and voilà! Here goes the most brilliant and evil plan of all times: People just hate and kill each other all by themselves. They took us our ability to think, and we became their slaves. Therefore, this caused one thing: hatred increased while love declined, which caused our lack of empathy, and the creators of such amazing plan? Well, they have always won the game.

“The secret of freedom lies in educating people, whereas the secret of tyranny is in keeping them ignorant.” – Maximilien Robespierre

So, what is empathy? The dictionary says that empathy is: The ability to understand and share the feelings of another. Therefore, how can our lack of empathy be the murderer of our humanity? Simple: if we can’t understand what someone else is feeling, if we can’t put ourselves in some else’s shoes or at least try to feel what that person is feeling, then there is no way we can feel the sadness and suffering from others, what will either cause our disinterest in the suffering of others, generating our inaction, or it will make us act in an evil way against others, being unable to understand and share their suffering.

Therefore, when we lack empathy, everything that makes us humans disappears, because where there is no love, hatred thrives, and it is in that moment when all the worst atrocities happen. We destroy our planet, our nature, we kill all animals, we poison every ocean, lake and river, we cut all our trees, and we hate and kill each other without mercy and compassion and everything thanks to our lack of empathy and lack of love.

“Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by love; this is the eternal rule.” – Buddha

What is happening with the refugees is a clear example of our lack of empathy. In the last few days I read articles and comments from people from all countries around the world about immigration and refugees enough to make me sick. Our lack of empathy and our dehumanization is evident, there is no way we can hide the fact that we became so individualistic, that we don’t care anything about anyone except ourselves. The mere thought that someone with a different culture, religion or language will come to our little fantasy world were everything seems to be fine drives us crazy; taking out the worst in us, when it should be the other way around, since we do not own the world.

That’s why in the beginning I said that we have learned nothing. Why? Well, if we compare our past history and our present moment we can see that every death, every suffering, pain and fight from the past, and every human who have fought to restore the peace have taught us nothing, or in better words, we didn’t want to learn and so, we repeat those destructive behaviors from our past over and over again.

“Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” – George Santayana

I wonder if there is any way we can revert the destiny of our humanity. I dare to say – Yes, there is, and the cure to all evil is love. The seeds of hate have been planted thousands of years ago, but that doesn’t mean that love is already extinct, because love will never die, but we have to plant love once again, wherever we go, to everyone we can. Without love humanity cannot survive, and our existence will be condemned by our own actions.

We are all human beings, no matter our nationality, religion, language, race, or culture and that means we all have the same rights, where the right to live counts as the most fundamental of all, we are all the same and we are all one. Every person should be treated as a human, not matter where they come from. Everything that happens to another may someday happen to us.

Let’s restore our humanity, let’s recover our empathy, and with love and compassion let’s help other humans in need. We could be them, so let’s be kind and have respect, and in return we will have everything anyone can ask for: a world full of love and peace.

Love Revolution

The human beings are facing a serious problem; the society in which we live is rotting, our brains have been washed, and the big issue of all is our lack of love, we need to love again, we need a love revolution!

 when-the-power-of-love-overcomes-the-love-of-power-the-world-will-know-peace-jimi-hendrix

The virus that has been implanted in our brains have killed most of the most valuable things that we have as human beings: the ability to love ourselves, our world, our nature, and every single human being in this world, we have lost the power to create everything we want, and we have forgotten who we really are and why we are really here.

The greatest problem of all is that we have changed the meaning of love, forgetting what love really means. The world is under so much pain right now, because human beings are not only loving in a very selfish and superficial way, giving love to things with no value, and there we can find the worst of all diseases: the love for money.

“Only when the last tree has died, and the last river has been poisoned, and the last fish has been caught will we realize we can’t eat money.” – Cree Indian Proverb

We are more in love with money, that any other thing in the world. And how can I know that? Because you just need to see the world, and what is happening right now, to see that what I’m saying it’s true! The problem is that the people are so blind, that they cannot see what is really happening. Humans have lost their common sense, becoming victims of their madness for money and power, making the worst atrocities and all in the name of money. Our love for money is the first cause of the pain, suffering and destruction of human existence.

The world is dying, we are pushing and pushing all our resources to the limit, jeopardizing our existence. The world, our home, desperately needs love, but not the cheap and rotten love we give every day but we need real and pure love. We need to learn how to love again and spread love to the world, so we can heal our hearts and the whole world. The solution is to focus in what really matters, learning to love ourselves again, and everyone out there, we need to understand again that we are not separated from each other, and what we do to others, we do to ourselves too.

“The planet does not need more successful people. The planet desperately needs more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers and lovers of all kinds.” – Dalai lama

There are some questions about human behavior that have been in my mind, which I cannot understand:

How is it possible that are still people out there killing each other, people stealing, people with no home, with nothing to eat, with no drinking water, with no access to education, health and with no kind of right to have a decent life?

How is it possible that we know that we are destroying our planet, knowing that the result will be the end of life on earth and we don’t do anything about it?

How is it possible that we keep separating people for nationality, race, religion, gender, age and social status giving human rights depending where you belong, having some of them more rights than others to have a decent life?

How is it possible that there are people still deprived of their freedom? How is it possible that slavery still exists?

How is possible that we have been blessed with a wonderful planet which have all the resources for the survival of the human beings and we destroy it every day by our careless actions?

How is it possible that we have been blessed with a magnificent human body, which allows us to experience the wonderful gift of the life on earth and we destroy it by consuming all the crap we consume each day, without taking care of it until it’s too late?

How is it possible that we have been blessed with an extraordinary mind, having all the power, abilities and skills to do and create wonderful things and we use it to destroy?

How is it possible that we have a beautiful heart with the wonderful ability to feel and to give love, and we use it to hate and hurt?

“In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

And as I said before, the answer to all this questions is that we have lost out common sense, we mixed up the real priorities in life with less important things, we forgot about love, and we have become so blind that we can’t see what is happening, and if we can see it, we just don’t care, because we don’t want anything to distract us from our desperate race after money, power, material things, and a social status that will make us stand out from the rest. We have become so superficial that we forgot what is really important in life, allowing the evil in all of us, to bring the worst of ourselves, and give it back to the world, what have created a reality of hate, suffering, insanity and pain.

And what it makes this entire situation sicker, is that we have accepted that reality as an unchangeable fact, taking the easy and cowardly way, as it takes a lot of courage to go against the flow and do what it takes to change the world. It’s easier to complain than do something to change it.

“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” – Mother Theresa

But today we can change history, we can create a better future. Don’t settle with this world believing what they told you about it, that this is the real one, the ideal, this perverse system has confused us, maddened us. But I know that deep inside yourself you know that, you want a better world, you yearn another world. If deep inside your heart you feel that this life doesn’t bring you joy and happiness, don’t settle, there is still hope. Life can be better that this sinister reality that consume our souls.

So, what the world and humanity need is that the people gather together, we need a group of soldiers with heart willing to love, being ready to build and not to destroy, giving all the love they can, to open the eyes of human beings, so we can change our reality and the whole destiny of the human race.

It is time my friends, to give the world what is lacking the most, it is time to stop with all sadness and pain and suffering in the world, we need to make humans remember that love exists, and so heal this hell that surround us. Let’s gather together in this revolution, in the name of God, in the name of love, and let’s go out fearless and courageous to conquer human’s hearts with love. It is time for a LOVE REVOLUTION!

Prisoners of the system

We think we live in a free world, we think we are free, but in fact that is only an illusion, because we are prisoners of the system, the one we think we dominate, but which in fact it dominates us, having us under its control. We think, we act, and we talk based on the beliefs that they have imposed on us. There’s no such thing as freedom, our freedom is an illusion.

We have been categorized, such as in a product catalog, in which the human beings are separated from each other by nationality, religion, social belief, gender, race, sexual preferences, external appearance, social status, and so on. An infinite catalog, that define us and which we use to determinate if someone is better than other, and if deserves something or not. Based on that belief, we separate each other and is there where the worst miseries of the world come into play.

We start to judge and condemn others, we compete, we do horrible things to each other, we envy, we hate, we become selfish and without feelings and we think based on the belief that we are all different. Some people believe that are more superior than others simply because they belong to the privileged group inside this catalog created by the society in which we live. These few people, the elite, the privileged believe that they have the right to hurt, humiliate, torture and even kill other human being. The problem is that we sell our souls day after day, ceasing to be our true self, to become a puppet from this twisted, illogical and selfish system in which we live.

“You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inert, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.” – Morpheus (The Matrix)

We live in a world where the appearance is the primordial, in which our idols are plastic dolls, unreal and with empty minds. We came to a point of such madness, that we have come to believe that to achieve the beauty standards imposed by this society makes us superiors, believing that we have the right to hurt another one that doesn’t meet the stupid requirements of the beauty industry. The worst part is that some people have killed themselves because they have been consumed by these stupid, unreal, fictitious and meaningless standards, believing that they didn’t deserve to live and be happy by just being the way they were.

It’s a world full of enslaved people, prisoners of money and material things, for which we have committed the worst atrocities. It’s for money that a man loses himself, forgetting all types of values or respect for another human. We forget to live by going after material things that don’t give us any kind of happiness, as we always go after the new, the best, and blinded we go through life consuming the crap that they sell to us, making that our fake motive of happiness. What we don’t know is that everything we buy has a price, and the price is not valued in papers with a number on it, but its real value it’s valued in the amount of time of our lives we spend to earn it.

“The price of anything is the amount of life you exchange for it.” – Henry David Thoreau

We live in a world where we complain about injustice, but we do not do anything about it, we live in a world where we are always looking what other people do or cease to do, and we don’t look at what we are doing, we complain, we blame, but when we need to do something to change the world, we don’t do anything and we only have excuses.

We live in a world where we are too worried about ourselves that we cannot see around us, there are people killing each other in wars and we don’t do anything about it, there is people starving because they don’t have anything to eat and we throw food every day, there is people who don’t have drinking water and we waste it like if there were an inexhaustible resource of it. But human beings have everything: mind, intelligence, skills, abilities, and resources, everything to make this world, a wonderful place, but we destroy it, and we self-destruct day after day, blind and lost in a complete wrong system, that condemn many people and benefit a few.

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

The day we gather together, the day we stop blaming each other, the day we stop separating ourselves by nationality, language, culture, gender, rich or poor, the day we begin to value the important things of life, the day we act against injustice and we stop blaming others, and the day we stop making the biggest criminals of the world to become more and more rich by consuming the crap they sell us: clothes made with slaves, alcohol that destroy people, electronics that make people stupid, cigarettes that kill people, drugs that consume us, food that poison us and all the trash they give to us, and the day we start being the change we want to see in the world by doing unto others as we would like them to do unto us, and above all, the day we start loving each other, that day all the suffering, the pain and injustice will be over.

We have everything, there is nothing that we don’t have, and the problem is that we don’t do anything. We born, we live, we exist and we die like puppets, believing that we are somebody, when in fact we are dominated and handled by someone else, by the ones who belongs to the elite club, the ones who made this system, the ones who locked us up.

Wake up my friends, we still have time to free ourselves from the chains of this society that oppress us, and get the victory, for us, and for all those that their voices have been silenced! Let’s raise our voices and get back our freedom!
