A Wonderful Stroke of Luck

There are those moments throughout our lifetime when luck does not seem to be in our favor. The things we want are denied to us in a very brutal way and feelings of despair, sorrow, anger, and disappointment flood our heart. Suddenly we found ourselves lost standing in front of a brick wall in the middle of the road in the journey of our lives. The things we wanted, our desires and dreams have been taken away from us, the doors has been closed, and our hopes and illusions disappeared. Confused and upset we try to find the reason for our bad luck. We ask again and again, why? And the answer conspicuous by its absence, until now?…

"Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck." - Dalai Lama

Sometimes in our lives no matter what we do and how much we try to have the things we want, life insist to deny us the things we yearn, and as if in life everything were about luck, we consider ourselves to be in the group of those with the worst one, but what if I tell you that sometimes what it seems to be bad luck, is in fact, good luck? What if those moments of bad luck in our lives are what we need in order to get a better luck? What if those moments of bad luck are actually saving us from a worse luck? What if those moments are giving us the chance to have a better future? What if sometimes life has to deny us the things we want, in order for us to have better things?

The truth is, in many cases, what it seems to be bad luck, is only an opportunity in disguise, an opportunity to take another road, a better way, to develop ourselves, to improve, to evolve, to create those things that we really want, deserve and that will really take out the best version of ourselves, but it is true that when life snatches from us the possibility of getting what we desire, when life denies the opportunity to have the things we love, we feel nothing but pain, our heart tears apart, and we cannot find any reason enough as to justify such sacrifice. You keep reminding yourself that everything happens for a reason, but the truth is, for you that reason seems to be non-existent, hard to discover, or has no sense at all, and days keep passing and you keep yourself immerse in that sorrow that sinks you to the depths of darkness.

“You never know what worse luck your bad luck has saved you from.” – Cormac McCarthy

The truth is, that reason, eventually becomes visible.  The things that happen to us, the things that we were not able to get, are not a mere casualty, but it was meant to be that way, because life in fact, is not about luck, life is not a fortune wheel where some of us obtain better things than others, it may seem this way, but the truth is, we create our own luck, and if life doesn’t give to us something we want is because is giving us the chance to broaden our limitations, recreate ourselves anew, and become the source of our own luck.

If I look back into my past, some of the things that happened to me seemed first as bad luck, but now in the present, I see them as good luck. Why? Because from the point of my life where I am standing right now, looking back into my past, I can see that if I would never have had those moments of “bad luck” my life would be different from the one that I have now, and the things I have achieved so far, I wouldn’t have achieved them without those moment of “bad luck” I had in my past.

“Every time I thought I was being rejected from something good, I was actually being re-directed to something better.” – Steve Maraboli

You can be a victim of your own circumstances, you can accept that luck is not in your favor, and succumb to adversity, surrendering the control of your own life, becoming a slave of your “bad luck” and be at mercy of fate, or you can decide to recreate your story, knowing that any moment of “bad luck” hides within itself the opportunity to obtain a greater luck, because in the end, if we are patient, if we don’t lose hope, if we give life time to prove us wrong about our own luck, if we decide to move forward and reinvent ourselves to recreate our destiny, we will discover the reason for that previous bad luck and we will thank God and life for all those moments where we didn’t get what we want, because that put us to the edge, took us from our comfort zone, and made us discover a new path, a new way, a new life, a new version of ourselves.

Some doors are meant to be closed, some are closed that so we can find a way to open them again, and some are closed so that we can find the way to those that will lead us to something better. Trust that everything happens for a good reason, and your faith will help create the fact, and your commitment and perseverance will shape your destiny and create your own luck.

In a dead end

A dead end: That place of failure and despair that takes away from us all our dreams and desires, swallowing them into darkness. Once we are there, it seems to be no escape, our hands seem to be tied, our legs seem to be stuck into the ground while our heart seems to break apart. Everything seems to be over, but there is always a solution. The question is: Are we going to fight and find it or are we going to give up our dreams so easily?

"A dead end can never be a one way street; you can always turn around and take another road." - Bo Bennett

How easy it is to dream, but how difficult it is to make them become true! The problem is not that they are impossible or unlikely to happen, the problem is that we give up very easily. But why? Because of failure. We are so afraid of it that we don’t even try to make them happen, or if we do, we give up in the first instance when we meet with failure. And that’s the moment when we get into a dead end, and every dream we have vanishes into the darkness of failure.

The problem with failure is that it is not easy to digest. The taste of failure doesn’t go away so easily from our mouth, that bitterness remains in our palate like needles digging into our tongue. The smell of failure is so profound and disgusting that penetrates so deeply that we can’t smell a jasmine even if we try. Failure poisons every part of our body, contaminates our soul, and breaks our heart. Failure rots us, contaminates us, breaks us, destroys us, paralyzes us and drown us. Failure kills us inside and destroys our dreams, desires and goals.  But, does failure defeat us?

“But man is not made for defeat. A man can be destroyed but not defeated.” – Ernest Hemingway

The answer is: No. Failure does not defeat us, but we are defeated when we give up. It is not failure what defines our future, it is us and how we deal with it what defines and creates our future. Failure corners us into a dead end but it does not block the entry. At any given moment we have the chance to turn around a find another way to get to our dreams. The problem is that failure seems to be our enemy when in fact it is only trying to help us. It is only trying to say to us that the path we follow is not the right one.

But we see failure as a dead end rather than an opportunity to do things in a different way. Our beliefs and fears about failure are so wrong that we have come to believe that failure is our worst enemy, when in fact we are our worst enemy. Failure challenges us, it tests us and brings us to the limit. It can destroy us, stealing us all our hopes of making one day all our dreams and goals become a reality, but what really defeat us is our choice of giving up. Failure puts us into a dead end but it is our choice to remain there or turn around and find another way.

“Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.” – Denis Waitley

Perhaps you already have been in a dead end or maybe you feel you are in a dead end now. I have experienced that, and I believe all of us, or at least those who have dared to follow their dreams have experienced failure once in their lives. The experience of being in that place of darkness, confusion and despair is awful. The feeling of sorrow invades our soul, the lights go out, the road disappears and suddenly all our dreams and goals are overshadowed by our sadness, pain, frustration and fears. It is hard to see with clarity in that moment of darkness, but it is there when we have to see beyond it.

It is in that moment when we have to see failure as an opportunity and not as a dead end. When you run into a dead end just simply turn around and find a better way. Embrace failure as an opportunity, and not as a punishment, and you will find the key to success. Learn from them, and once you do that, you will see them as they really are: an opportunity to reveal the greatness inside you, an opportunity to declare that your dreams are bigger than your fears, an opportunity to express that no matter how many times you fail, you will make your dreams come true. In the road to make our dreams come true we will face many dead ends, it depends on us whether we are going to give up and remain there or if we are going to find another way, the decision we make will determine either our victory or our defeat.

Then my friend, will you give up so easily or will you find another way to achieve your goals and dreams?

Do We Live, or We Merely Exist?

Do we live, or we merely exist? Depending on whether we are free or not it is what will determine the answer. But how do we know that? Because freedom makes us happy, thus, if we are happy we are free and if we are free it means that we are truly living our life, otherwise we only exist.

“What light is to the eyes, what air is to the lungs, what love is to the heart, liberty is to the soul of man.” - Robert Green Ingersoll

The other day I was reading an article about pigeons, and I read something that really caught my attention. The article said that wild pigeons have a life expectancy of around 5 years while pigeons in captivity can live around 15 years or more, and after reading that, I wondered: It is better to live longer with everything you need to survive but with no freedom, or it is better to live less, with a not so comfortable life, but being free?

Trying to give an answer, I said to my self – Okay, the truth is I can’t think as pigeon, I can’t know what is better for them and what they would prefer, but I can think as a human, and as we are free beings, so are pigeons. We both have something in common, and that is the need to be free, and I believe every being has the same need. None of us would prefer to be kept in captivity or in an “all-inclusive prison” in order to live more comfortable for many years, or at least is not what we humans want, or… maybe yes?

“None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.” – Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

I hesitated for a couple of minutes and then I asked myself another questions: It is not in that way how most of human beings on this earth actually live? Don’t we live in captivity? I mean, don’t we constantly fall in the trap of living as prisoners in our comfort zone? Because that is what our comfort zone is, it is the cage where we lock ourselves in with the purpose of surviving. In fact, that is what we do, we survive, we exist, but do we truly live?

The truth is that living in our comfort zone only gives us the feeling of being truly alive and free, what in fact is only an illusion, that is why it is so easy for us to live there, pretending to be happy, because it gives us the idea that there we can have everything we want in order to live a comfortable, happy, and peaceful life, but in order to survive we refuse to live the life we want because doing that would mean leaving our comfort zone, which would mean that we would have to put ourselves at risk, where everything we have can vanish in the blink of an eye.

“Freedom means you are unobstructed in living your life as you choose. Anything less is a form of slavery.” – Wayne Dyer

Wild or in captivity? Uncomfortable or comfortable? Free or caged? What would you choose if you knew you were going to die in a year? Would you still be doing what you are doing now? Because if you don’t, that means you already live in captivity. The truth is our future is not guaranteed, and no matter how safe we think we are, any time can be our time. What matters is to live our life, and not simply survive. Otherwise, what would be the point of this life?

I mean, how many years a human being can live? 50? 60? 80 years? I mean, what is the point of living 80 years if you haven’t lived at all? Maybe you have experienced a safe and comfortable life, and that’s totally fine, but if you haven’t pursued a dream, or you haven’t dared to go for a new adventure, or if you haven’t followed your heart, or if you didn’t do something that has required you to leave your comfort zone at least once in a while, if you haven’t experienced the feeling of happiness that comes from being free to do whatever you want without letting your fears, other people, situations, and anything to stop you, then you haven’t lived at all.

The truth about everything is that your life is yours, and nobody but you has the power to decide what to do with it, and the best for you, me and everyone is to do what makes us happy. But always remember that being in captivity is not living, is merely exist, but being free is living.

Do You Really Believe In Your Dreams?

Do you really believe in your dreams? Because dreaming is not enough, in order to make your dreams come true, you must believe in them with all your heart. If you truly believe in your dreams, there is nothing that can stop you from making them become a reality.

"Imagine with all your mind, believe with all your heart, achieve with all your might." #believe

We all have dreams, but only few of us are able to turn them into a reality, and why this happens? Well, the reasons are varied, but one of the main reasons is because we don’t really believe in our dreams, within ourselves, in that place we do not know, where our beliefs are kept, we hold the belief that our dreams are impossible or difficult to come true, and those beliefs actually sabotage our dreams. No matter what we do, we continue to fail in the attempt to make them a reality, because somehow we know they are impossible, and that belief creates our reality.

Believing is one of the main tools we have to create the life we want and if we believe in something as impossible, that belief will help create the fact that our reality is not a place where dreams are possible and our dreams will remain dreams until the end of our days on this earth, without the possibility to actually live the life we have always dreamed of.

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

To a greater or lesser extent we are all dreamers, but because of the limitations we all have in our mind because of our fears imposed by the outside world, only few of us have the possibility to live the life of our dreams, and that’s because those people have not only dreamed, but also believed, not only believed but also they have done everything they could to turn their dreams into a reality. For those people nothing is impossible, they dreamed and they believed with all their might even when nobody believed in them, those people are unstoppable dream hunters, and they never stopped until they succeeded.

Everyone can dream but not everyone can truly believe, and it doesn’t matter how much you dream and how many dreams you have, if you don’t believe in them, if you don’t believe they are possible, they never will be, because nobody is going to try to make something impossible into possible, for instance, you are not going to jump from a building expecting to fly when you know deep inside your heart that flying is impossible, you are not even going to try, you dream of flying, but you know it’s impossible, so you will do nothing, end of story.

“To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.” – Anatole France

Believing makes everything possible, because it actually changes your mental programming which has been programmed with a very narrow perspective, and by changing your beliefs, you change your whole life. When you actually start believing in your dreams, you broaden your perspective and what was once impossible for you, it is now possible, and so, your dreams start to feel more real.

So, do you really believe in your dreams? Try to be honest with yourself – Close your eyes for a second and think about your dream, can you see it? Well, now try to see yourself in your dream, visualize it; make it real, how does it look like? How does it feel? It feels great, isn’t it? Well, now look around you, and try to look yourself at the mirror, can you imagine that person you are seeing capable of achieving anything? Do you believe in that person? Yes? And so do you believe in your dream? Do you believe it’s possible? So what are you waiting for? Go out and make it happen!

Dreams are possible for those who dare to believe they can come true. Believe that what you want is possible, and it will! Dream, Believe, Achieve.

Worry serves no useful purpose

We all share one particular habit, but not the kind of habit that is good for our health but rather the opposite, the habit that we all have in common is called “worry” and it serves no useful purpose at all.

Don't worry about a thing, cause every little thing is gonna be alright.

We have the bad habit of worrying too much, as if worrying about something could be used as a magic wand to change what is going on or what we think is going on. The truth is nobody has ever changed something that happened in the past or something that is supposed to happen in the future through worrying, because the only thing that can be affected thanks to our worries is our present.

When we worry we don’t change anything that has happened in the past neither we change something that is going to happen in the future, the only thing we change is our present but not in a very positive way, because when we worry we make our present a nightmare through our thoughts of what is going to happen which most of the time they are not 100% accurate. This way we put ourselves in a place where we suffer needlessly, worrying about something that most of the time is never going to happen.

“Worry pretends to be necessary but serves no useful purpose” – Eckhart Tolle

How many times have you been worried about something in the past? And how many times it really happened? And if that actually happened, was as bad as it seemed? Was it worth so much worry and anxiety? Was it worth wasting so much time of your life worrying about something that was out of your control? I guess no, or I least that is what I believe, because when I look back into my past, I can see I have wasted a lot of my precious time worrying about things that never happened, and those things that actually happened it turns out that were not as bad as they seemed.

Worry is useless, worry can’t change anything that happened in your past, and it can’t change anything that may or may not happen in your future, worry can only do one thing: it can steal your joy and happiness from your heart without reason. The problem with worry is that makes you feel as if those things for which you are worried about are already real in your present, which in fact is not more than an illusion, but worry makes your problems become a reality, even if they don’t exist. Worry only makes you focus on what you don’t want rather than letting you focus on the outcomes you would like to happen.

“Why worry? If you’ve done the very best you can, worrying won’t make it any better” – Walt Disney

Worry can’t help us in any way, it can’t solve our problems, but you can do your best to get the best result possible. If there is something you would like to change and if you are able to do that, then change it, do what it takes to have the outcome you would like to have, focus on those things you would like to happen in your life, and don’t focus on those things you don’t want, on the other hand if you can’t do anything to change your situation, why worry then? Would it make things any better? Definitely no, it won’t make things any better, but it will make it worse because it will embitter your present, stealing your happiness and ruining your day.

Worry doesn’t change anything but complicates your life even more, use your imagination to create the positive outcomes you would like to have in your life, do everything you can, but always remember to have faith and trust life, because no matter what happens everything will be alright!

Why Do We Fall?

We fall because there is something there we are supposed to find, otherwise we wouldn’t have fallen. Sometimes we lack something in our lives we don’t even know we are missing, we realize that when we fall. It is in that place of darkness and suffering where we find the light we were looking for, it is in that place where we find ourselves.

It's not how many times you fall that matters, it's how many times you get back up."

Falling is part of life, because it is not something you can avoid, because the only way you can avoid falling is by doing nothing and being no one. So falling isn’t as bad as it seems, it is actually the opposite because once you rise back you will never be the same again, you will be different, for the better. Falling doesn’t mean you have to live the rest of your life in that place, it depends on you to get up again and keep moving forward, or give up and stay in that place of suffering and despair for the rest of your life.

You can’t decide not to fall, but you can decide whether you will surrender and stay there forever, or you will stand up and you will keep moving forward. Falling do not define yourself, what defines you is the decision you make, you can either define yourself as a victim of life’s circumstances making yourself a loser, or you can define yourself as the creator of your destiny making yourself a winner.

“Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” – Confucius

Life can be mean, but it always has a purpose by doing what it does, most of the time we cannot understand it due to our limited perspective as human beings, but in the darkness there is always a hidden gift waiting to be discovered, the key is to find it. It is all about learning to see in the dark, if you can do that, if you can see the light in the darkness, you whole life will change. You will no longer see falling as punishment but rather an opportunity to improve yourself, because you will be able to see that sometimes we fall, so we can become a better version of ourselves.

Okay I know, falling is painful but it depends on you if you are going to let the pain you are feeling destroy you, or if you are going to embrace the pain, and use it as a trigger for the greatness you have within yourself, what will reveal the wonderful power and potential in you, that you don’t even know you had, and believe me, we have within ourselves a powerful spirit capable of doing anything we want, the problem is we don’t know that until life puts us to a test. It is when we fall to that dark and hopeless place where we have the wonderful opportunity to reveal the greatness we have inside of us. It is in that place where your old self dies, and your new self comes to life.

“Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up.” – Alfred – Batman.

Falling is painful but not lethal, falling is not a punishment but an opportunity, it is you and only you who can decide if you are going to remain in that place of darkness and pain for the rest of your life, or if you are going to learn to see the light in the dark, releasing the wonderful potential you have within yourself. You can get up, you can start again, you can rise like the sun does every morning, you don’t have to be in the dark forever, cowards do that, and you are much better than that!

Arise my friend and keep fighting, until you beat life with a knock out, you can do it, because you are a winner!

Miracles are real

Yes, that’s true. Miracles are real, and they can happen to you every second of your life, you just have to let them happen, and the only way to do that is believing. Believe that miracles are possible and they will be.

The only way to make something a reality is believing it will, no matter what is our situation right now, if you believe in something with all your heart, it will become a reality. Miracles are the way that faith has to say thank you, thank you for believing even when everything seemed to go in the opposite direction of your dreams.

If miracles were an illusion, we would be an illusion as well, because we are on this planet right now because a miracle happened, the wonderful miracle of life. This is not about religion, and I do believe in God, but it doesn’t matter in what you believe, the important thing here is to be able to see that we are here for a miracle of life, and in fact, we are that miracle, converted in humans.

“The whole world is a series of miracles, but we’re so used to seeing them that we call them ordinary things.” – Hans Christian Andersen

So why don’t believe in miracles when we are one of them? This life here with all its beauty it’s a miracle, and all of us, being the miracle of life and God, we have the power to create with our magnificent mind every outcome we want.

We see ourselves as a body and nothing else, that is why we focus all the time in the superficial part of everything, because that is what we can only see, we see everything that we can touch, so we only believe in things we can see with our eyes and not with our heart. We see what we believe, as we cannot see in our reality something we don’t believe to be real.

“There are two ways to live your life, one is as though nothing is a miracle, the other is as though everything is a miracle.” – Albert Einstein

So if we don’t start to focusing in the things that really matter, those things that we cannot see with our eyes, those things we believe they can’t be real, those things we only believe to be an illusion from our mind or an unreal story from a book, we are never going to see a miracle in our life, a dream come true, or nothing as possible, and so accepting the life we think to be real, a life that is far from miraculous.

So if you want to change your life, begin to believe, change your thoughts about yourself and your life, and you will change your whole world, and everything that you once thought to be impossible will then be possible, and you will open those doors that seemed to be sealed forever.

“Never lose hope, my dear heart. Miracles dwell in the invisible.” – Rumi

Miracles are real, we are miracles and we are real, dreams are possible and real, the life we want, we expect and the life we deserve is real and so is happiness, joy, kindness, loyalty, honesty, passion, success, freedom, peace and everything that human beings can feel for having one of the most wonderful miracles that exist in the whole world, the one that can change everything, the miracle of love.

Once again miracles are real, and the life you have ever dreamed of is also real, change then your beliefs, your thoughts and above all never lose faith, and you will see the miracles, you haven’t seen so far.

The life you want is waiting you to believe in it, it is waiting you to believe that everything is possible. Believe and a miracle will happen.

Happy New Year!

I would like to wish you a Happy New Year. The 2015 has arrived, and with that 365 days that give us 365 new chances to make our dreams a reality.

It doesn’t matter what happened in our life in 2014, that is now our past, so we have the chance to start again, to dream a new dream and to keep moving forward. Every New Year, life gives us the opportunity to reborn anew, to recreate ourselves and be a much better version than we have ever been before.

We have everything we need to become whoever we want to become and to achieve whatever we want to achieve, we have the power to create the reality we want, the one we deserve and the one we are capable of living. We must find that power within ourselves, we must find what motivates us, our purpose, our passion, and no matter what kind of situation we are going through, we must follow our heart and intuition no matter how hard our life gets, we must never give up!

I will repeat that again because it is very important for us to not forget those words: Never give up! Because I can guess that after so many years, most of you are still standing in the same place, wondering why you haven’t achieved your goals yet, and the answer is because you give up, and the worst thing is that most of you have quitted even before you start. So this year you have a new chance to do what you haven’t done before, decide that you will do whatever you can and that no matter what you will never give up again.

I know that some of you are looking at this New Year with fear, either because your last year was too good, or because it was awful, you are afraid because you don’t know if this new year is going to be as good as the old one, so because of fear, you remain attached to your past, not allowing yourself the opportunity to have a better one, or maybe your past year was not so good, and the fear you have inside doesn’t let you see the new opportunity you have now, blinded by insecurities and doubts.

So no matter how bad or how good your 2014 has been, there is always positive things to take from it even those positive things we take from awful situations, there is always something you can keep in your heart, the rest of it can go away and never come back to your mind, heart and soul.

So with the positive experiences from your past year, you can start this 2015 with confidence, using those experiences and feelings as a motivation, knowing you have inside all you need, and that you can and you definitely will make all your dreams come true.

We have a new chance, let’s take our pen and write down everything we want to achieve in this year, and read it whenever you can, and with confidence let’s go out and fight for the life we deserve. Every day, every minute, every second a miracle can happen. We have come this far in our life, after all we have been through, so let’s face this 2015 with no fear, and let’s go out and get the life we deserve.

Have a wonderful New Year! 🙂

Letting go of the past

Let go of the past
Letting go of the past, in order to be in the present, is the best way to have a happy, fulfilled and joyful life.

Our past consumes us, no matter how good or how bad it was, it consume us, and not only ourselves but it consumes our present and our whole life if you don’t let it go.

We live tied to a past world, which has defined us and which we now use as an excuse to be who we are and to act as we act now. Each of our decisions, every thought, every action, and every word out of our mouth is based on our past.

The experiences we have in our daily life, which generates our feelings, are not much different from others we already had like pain, sadness, anger, anxiety, happiness, excitement, joy, and so on. But our reality, the reality based on how we feel about what is happening has much to do with what has happened before. Our mind seeks similarities to past events and how we reacted to those events, which is why we react now as we reacted before, without giving us the opportunity to analyze what is really happening right now and act based on what we really believe and feel at that time.

Living tied up to the past creates fears, it create obstacles that prevent us to reinvent ourselves in every situation, it doesn’t let us go forward with confidence, blocking us, making us who we were and forgetting who we might be now. We stop doing things or we can’t go forward with our friends, romantic or family relationships, jobs, and so on, because in the past we have failed, allowing the past to cause fears and to define us as people who have failed forever. Or maybe our past was too good, so we live and we let us die in that past, without enjoying the present, and so as we are unable to let go of the past, we forget to live today in our present, so we believe that former days were better, we stick ourselves to that and so it reflects our current reality, a reality full of sadness and bitterness.

We bring the past to the present day after day, a past that dominate us, who speaks and acts for us, a past that blocks us and makes us prisoners, losing any ability to act, to think and to be what we really want to be, losing any possibility of freedom.

”Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.” – Buddha

Living in the past creates an imaginary reality, everything we perceive every day is based on what we have experienced, for what we live in an illusion, which only creates unhappiness since our feelings about what is happening to us day after day are wrong.

The past seizes our present, moving us away from everything we really want in life, we let the past to create our destiny for what can dominate us, so it can think and feel for us.

So then my friends, we don’t get anything we want, or we get it and then we lose it, and that is why we go after of anything we don’t deserve, and we just not value what we have now, because we live in our past, which defines us and makes us act as we act.

We move away from people who love us, we avoid relationships with people because in the past we haven’t been loved, and so by living in the past we cannot see the current reality and we see one that is totally imaginary, we believe that everything that resembles a past relationship that was unsatisfactory will be the same even if it indicates that is totally different. Or if in the past was good, but for some reason ended, we stay in that past where everything was better, and we believe that it will not be another like that one so we avoid any kind of relationship in the present. We avoid any situation that can generate suffering according to what we believe based on our past experiences, locking us in a prison that only creates that suffering that we once wanted to avoid.

”Oh yes, the past can hurt. But you can either run from it, or learn from it.” – The Lion King

We avoid going for what we want, we avoid making our dreams come true because at some point we have gone through a situation where we have failed, or in which we saw someone fail or where we have the belief that someone imposed on us that we can never achieve what we want because we simply don’t have the skills or abilities to make our dreams a reality, accepting that past as a present, and accepting ourselves as incapable and unsuccessful, accepting a reality that could be different if we just let the past behind, believing in ourselves and if we just lived in the present, since each second is a new opportunity to be who we really are, forgetting who we were or who they told us that we were.

No matter what happened in your life, what is important is that you are here today, that you can breathe and you can live, come back to the present, don’t let the past to keep defining you rather be the one who uses the past to a way of defining yourself, to a way to say this happened to me and I were like that but now I am what I am because of that, because I didn’t let the situation that happened in my past to destroy me, I used that as a motivation to become what I became now!

”No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.” Buddha

No matter if your past was a total failure and if nothing was good for you, today is a new day, a new day to affirm and act as a new you, because you’re who you say you are, your failures, your fears, your old beliefs, whatever you have said, that doesn’t define you, you do that every day with your thoughts and actions, and you can create any reality you want to create.

You have the power and ability to change your whole existence, and how can you do that?

Leaving the past where it belongs, in the past!

It has been bad or good, it does not matter, leave it there, and with that you will also leave your fears behind as well. You will leave what you was before to become who you choose to be now, and you will get what you always wanted: love, job, friendship, experiences, and so on. Leaving the prison of the past behind, to return to be free again, to believe and dream, to make all your dreams come true, to define you as what you really are: a wonderful human being with an infinite capacity to get everything you ever wanted to have.

Live in the present, create your future, leave your past behind.
