Follow Your Passion

We spend most of our time immersed in an endless race. We go through life chasing something, believing that it will give us everything we want. This thing is called money, and we believe that this will help us make all our dreams come true. We make money our first priority, we chase it at all costs, and in the end of this race we pay a high price for it and we lose it all. We realize that money made us blind, it made us follow the wrong path, and we have killed our own dreams, burned our desires, and extinguished the flame of our passion. To avoid this before is too late we must change our direction, and follow our passion, not money.

Somehow we have come to believe that having money is what will make us happy and successful. They told us a wonderful story about money, they painted a fantastic picture in our minds, what gave us the idea that money will allow us to buy every possession in this world, and so acquire an everlasting happiness, and we believed it. The problem with this is that we started chasing money instead our passion, not knowing that we were heading straight to our decay.

The problem when we chase money is that we fall into a big trap. This trap attracts us making us believe that money is the solution to all our problems, and the key to a happy and fulfilled life, so we start chasing it, falling into the trap, right into its claws, and slowly devours our souls alive. It consumes every part of us, and it makes us so addict, so dependent that we need it in order to survive, making us believe that in fact, money makes us happy, and the lack of it makes us miserable, and deaf and blind we defend this idea until we die.

“Chase your passion, not your pension.” – Denis Waitley

But how many successful people do you see out there? And with successful I do not mean having money, because having money does not always equals success, but I mean people living their passion, people who have achieved their dreams and desires, people who is happy living the life they want, people who is truly alive. How many people do you see happy doing what they are doing? Not many isn’t it?

The problem with most of us is that we chase money, we get it, and we settle. As long as we can acquire material possessions we are going to have the idea that we are happy the way we are, even if that happiness depends on something as ephemeral as money. We live under a system that makes us believe that money is the key to a happy life, so we do not follow what makes us really happy, we follow money, believing that one day we are going to be free enough to start chasing our passion, and that day never comes.

“There is no passion to be found playing small, in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” – Nelson Mandela

Therefore, it is important to chase your passion. Your passion is your purpose, is doing what you love, what makes you happy. No matter what that is, you can always make a living doing what you love. Money shouldn’t be our main purpose, if that is your main reason of your existence then you haven’t figured out yet why you are really here, and you are limiting yourself from living a wonderful life.

If you chase money, you will always be chasing it, but if you chase your passion, money will follow. People chase money, they get it, they lose it, they get more, they lose more, they get it back, they throw it away, they think again how to get more, and they bury themselves more and more in this madness. This never stops, that is why most people are living a miserable life, and the problem is not that they have or not money, the problem is what they lose, what they hide, what they sacrifice, what they kill, what they destroy, what they forget for money.

“If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion. For your passion will lead you right into your purpose.” – Bishop T.D. Jakes

What is your passion? What makes you happy? What do you love to do? What is your dream? Take a time to think about it, this is really important my friend. Discover your purpose, find your passion, and go out and chase it, chase it under the sun, under the storm, through light or through darkness, when you feel strong or weak, not matter how hard it gets, or how far you are from reaching your goal, no matter how impossible it looks like, always follow your passion, and everything else, including money will follow. Do not settle, do not limit yourself, do not be the killer of your own dreams.

Decide what you want to do and do it. Be the best at it, fail, try again, fail better, and never stop. Chase your passion with confidence and commitment and live the life of your dreams!

Improve your Strategies for Better Outcomes

Some of the circumstances that happen in our life are inevitable, some of them are simply a matter of luck, and some of them are the product of our actions. Our life is not already written, but it is easy to think it is, because that way we disclaim ourselves from any responsibility and we blame destiny for being the cause of our hardships. The truth is we create our life with our own actions, and if the outcomes we are getting are not the desired ones, it is time to improve our life strategies.

"If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten." - Anthony Robins better outcomes

If we keep thinking the same thoughts, if keep having the same feelings, if we keep making the same actions and having the same behaviors, we are going to keep getting what we have always got. The question now is: Are you getting the outcomes you expect to get? If the answer is yes, congratulations! You’re heading in the right direction! If the answer is no, you will need to change your strategies, and do something in a different way until you get the desired outcomes.

If we are not getting what we want is probably because something is not working as it should, something we are doing is not helping us to get the outcomes we expect. Normally we blame life, our family, time, money, or anything we can put our blame on for not getting the outcomes we want, but the truth is, in most cases we are the cause of our own failure. Therefore, if we want better outcomes, if we want to succeed we will have to change something in order to be successful, and stop doing the kind of things that has only gave us failure.

“Achieve success in any area of life by identifying the optimum strategies and repeating them until they become habits.” – Charles J. Givens

The first and most important thing we should know in order to succeed is to know that we do not depend on our environment to succeed, but in having the ability to not fall in the trap of remaining captive in that environment. That is to say, no matter where we are right now, and which our external circumstances, we can always create a better tomorrow, and the key to do that is not to surrender to our current circumstances, and take responsibility for our own life, and create with our own actions the life we truly want to experience, and take all the right actions in order to get the desired outcomes.

If you want something different, if you want a better outcome for your life you need to change your current actions and improve your strategies. What are you doing now that is giving you results? What are you doing that is not giving you the outcomes you want? What are you not doing that can help you get the outcomes you desire? What kind of strategies have you been using that haven’t given you the outcomes you expected? What can you do today to improve them? Think about those questions, determine what you want, and discover what you can do that will help you get the outcomes you want. Read, ask, learn, make mistakes, take risks, try once more, improve, improve and improve until you are successful, but never give up!

“The first step toward success is taken when you refuse to be a captive of the environment in which you first find yourself.” – Mark Caine

There is always something you can do better, there is always something that you can improve, do not limit yourself by thinking that is nothing else you can do, or that you can’t aspire for more, you have greatness within you, and you can achieve anything if you work hard, if you are persevering, and if you never surrender to any hardship. You can always grow, learn, improve, evolve and succeed. Learn from past mistakes, learn from other people’s mistakes, ask questions, learn new things, improve yourself, develop your potential, and do not stop until you get the outcomes you want to get.

If what you have been thinking, feeling and doing has not given you the outcomes you wish to get, it is time to improve your strategies. Do not be afraid to change, do not be afraid to try something new, do not be afraid of failure, remember that failure is only real when you give up! Change your strategies, and get the outcomes you want!

Small Steps Lead to Success

In order to achieve any goal and dream we must take small steps each day, because those are the ones that will lead us to success.  In a previous post, I wrote about the importance of taking the first step. The first step is decisive, and every step we make afterwards will lead us to the place where we want to be. We can make all our dreams and desire a reality, one step at a time.

"Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out." - Robert Collier

The key to achieving our goals lies in the small steps we make each day. The amounts of steps we will have to take in order to achieve our goal will depend in the magnitude of our goal. The problem is that sometimes our dreams and goals are so big that is easy to get overwhelmed with all the things we have to do in order to achieve them, and it is in that moment when we give up.

If most people fail to achieve their goals is not because life is unfair and only benefits a few, but they fail because they have refused to take the necessary steps in order to reach their goals. The difference between those who are successful and those who are not is not luck but commitment. It is true that for some people things are easier than for others, but that can’t be used as excuse for giving up, instead it can be used as motivation to keep moving forward, one step at a time.

Every day do something that will inch you closer to a better tomorrow.” – Doug Firebaugh

Therefore, the most important thing we can do after we have decided to take the first step toward our goal is to divide that goal in small steps. Let’s imagine as an example that your goal for the next 2 months is to get a job. Therefore, in order to achieve that goal, you will have to follow a few different steps: Write your resume, send it to different companies, prepare yourself for interviews, and so on. Some of them will be easier than others, and sometimes you will have to repeat one of the steps one more time because it didn’t go well the first try, but if you don’t give up sooner or later you will achieve your goal.

Well, we can say that every goal works in the same way as that example. We will have more goals, smaller and harder than the one in the example, but they will all be possible.  Therefore, the best we can do in order to achieve our goals is to divide that goal in small steps, or in more achievable goals. Those small goals will seem more possible to achieve, what will give us the idea that we can make it, and once we do that, we will be one step closer from our biggest goal.

“Know what you want to do, hold the thought firmly, and do every day what should be done, and every sunset will see you that much nearer to your goal.” – Elbert Hubbard

What will happen when we achieve one of those small goals is that we will feel good because our brain will not know the difference between one goal or another, therefore, every victory, no matter how small or big will flood our mind and body with positive emotions, what will make us feel better about ourselves, creating in our mind the belief that we can make it, and if we believe that we are capable of achieving anything we want, then there is nothing that can stop us from doing so.

Here we have another example: Let’s say that you want to lose weight, and your goal is to lose 10 kg, you can divide that big goal in small steps or even in small goals. For example, you can start by losing 1 kilo in 1 week. That is a more achievable goal and more easy to do, what will prevent you from being overwhelmed about the idea of having to lose 10 kg. Once you have a new and smaller goal you can set up all the steps you must take in order to achieve it, and step by step you will reach that goal. And as a result you will be one step closer to your goal. You can continue step by step achieving those small goals, until you finally achieve your desired goal.

The man who removes a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.” – Chinese Proverb

Those little steps are the ones that will lead us to success. Therefore, you should ask yourself the following questions: What is your biggest goal? Have you taken the first step? What are the steps you should take in order to achieve your goal? If you goal is big enough, is it possible to divide your goal in smaller and more achievable goals? Which steps can you take in order to achieve that new goal? What can you do next in order to be one step closer from your goal?

I encourage you to take a paper and a pen and write your goal. Therefore, you will be able to write the steps you will have to take in order to achieve that goal. Focus in the first step, and then continue with the next one, and step by step you will achieve your goals!

In a dead end

A dead end: That place of failure and despair that takes away from us all our dreams and desires, swallowing them into darkness. Once we are there, it seems to be no escape, our hands seem to be tied, our legs seem to be stuck into the ground while our heart seems to break apart. Everything seems to be over, but there is always a solution. The question is: Are we going to fight and find it or are we going to give up our dreams so easily?

"A dead end can never be a one way street; you can always turn around and take another road." - Bo Bennett

How easy it is to dream, but how difficult it is to make them become true! The problem is not that they are impossible or unlikely to happen, the problem is that we give up very easily. But why? Because of failure. We are so afraid of it that we don’t even try to make them happen, or if we do, we give up in the first instance when we meet with failure. And that’s the moment when we get into a dead end, and every dream we have vanishes into the darkness of failure.

The problem with failure is that it is not easy to digest. The taste of failure doesn’t go away so easily from our mouth, that bitterness remains in our palate like needles digging into our tongue. The smell of failure is so profound and disgusting that penetrates so deeply that we can’t smell a jasmine even if we try. Failure poisons every part of our body, contaminates our soul, and breaks our heart. Failure rots us, contaminates us, breaks us, destroys us, paralyzes us and drown us. Failure kills us inside and destroys our dreams, desires and goals.  But, does failure defeat us?

“But man is not made for defeat. A man can be destroyed but not defeated.” – Ernest Hemingway

The answer is: No. Failure does not defeat us, but we are defeated when we give up. It is not failure what defines our future, it is us and how we deal with it what defines and creates our future. Failure corners us into a dead end but it does not block the entry. At any given moment we have the chance to turn around a find another way to get to our dreams. The problem is that failure seems to be our enemy when in fact it is only trying to help us. It is only trying to say to us that the path we follow is not the right one.

But we see failure as a dead end rather than an opportunity to do things in a different way. Our beliefs and fears about failure are so wrong that we have come to believe that failure is our worst enemy, when in fact we are our worst enemy. Failure challenges us, it tests us and brings us to the limit. It can destroy us, stealing us all our hopes of making one day all our dreams and goals become a reality, but what really defeat us is our choice of giving up. Failure puts us into a dead end but it is our choice to remain there or turn around and find another way.

“Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.” – Denis Waitley

Perhaps you already have been in a dead end or maybe you feel you are in a dead end now. I have experienced that, and I believe all of us, or at least those who have dared to follow their dreams have experienced failure once in their lives. The experience of being in that place of darkness, confusion and despair is awful. The feeling of sorrow invades our soul, the lights go out, the road disappears and suddenly all our dreams and goals are overshadowed by our sadness, pain, frustration and fears. It is hard to see with clarity in that moment of darkness, but it is there when we have to see beyond it.

It is in that moment when we have to see failure as an opportunity and not as a dead end. When you run into a dead end just simply turn around and find a better way. Embrace failure as an opportunity, and not as a punishment, and you will find the key to success. Learn from them, and once you do that, you will see them as they really are: an opportunity to reveal the greatness inside you, an opportunity to declare that your dreams are bigger than your fears, an opportunity to express that no matter how many times you fail, you will make your dreams come true. In the road to make our dreams come true we will face many dead ends, it depends on us whether we are going to give up and remain there or if we are going to find another way, the decision we make will determine either our victory or our defeat.

Then my friend, will you give up so easily or will you find another way to achieve your goals and dreams?

Take the First Step

In order to reach our destination, we must begin the journey by taking the first step. Any victory depends on that first step. It is the first action, the first move, the first try, what can lead us to the place where we want to get. That first step makes everything possible and our following actions make it all come true.

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." - Lao Tzu

Let’s analyse this: Everyone wants to win the jackpot, but how many of us actually goes and buy the ticket? The truth is that only a few of us do that, but why? The reason is simple: Our thoughts and beliefs creates boundaries between our dreams and our reality. We dream but believe they are impossible or too difficult to become a reality, so we give up even before trying.

If you believe that the chances of winning are almost zero it is very likely that you are not going to buy the ticket, so you are not even going to try, or you will try, and if you don’t win, you will use that as a way to prove that you were right about that winning was impossible, and you will finally give up. You can see here that the first step is crucial as it determines everything.

“Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” – Theodore Roosevelt

But why the first step is so crucial? How is it possible that it can determine everything? Simple. There are two different outcomes that makes the first step so vital: If we decide to not take that first step, we decide to lose by default. But if we take that first step, it means that we are in the correct way to make our dreams become a reality. If we continue to move forward, step by step, not giving up, overcoming adversity, with perseverance, commitment and faith, it is likely that we reach the desired destination.

Therefore, the first step will be to buy the ticket. What I mean here is that we have to believe in our dreams and go out and make them happen. In order to make your dreams and goals become a reality, you will have to take the first action that will get you closer to the place where you want to be. The first step will determine whether your dream will remain a dream or if it will become true.

“Take the first step, and your mind will mobilize all its forces to your aid. But the first essential is that you begin. Once the battle is startled, all that is within and without you will come to your assistance.” – Robert Collier

No dream will become a reality if we do not take actions. It is beautiful to dream, but what is hard is to take actions to make them a reality. You are not going to win the jackpot if you don’t buy the ticket, that is to say, you are not going to get to the place where you want to be, or get what you want to have if you don’t take the first step. It is our decision to act what creates our destiny and it is our inaction what leaves everything to chance.

If you want to be a doctor, an engineer, a lawyer, a graphic designer, or whatever you want to be, you will have to take the first step and enrol in the university. If you want to learn a new language, you will have to take the first step and look for a course in your city or online. If you want to lose weight you will have to take the first step and make the decision to change your diet. If you hate your job and you want another, you will have to take the first step and find another one. If you want to be a professional athlete, you will have to go and train. If you want to quit smoking, you will have to decide to smoke less cigarettes a day or not buy any more cigarettes. There is always a first step that makes what we wish and dream more real.

“The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and starting on the first one.” – Mark Twain

It is the first step what get us closer to our dream, and it is our perseverance and commitment to make it happen what makes it all possible. Every single person who has been successful at doing or getting something has once decided to take the first step and then work until they succeeded.  So, what is your dream? What do you want to do? Who do you want to be? What do you want to get? Where do you want to get? If you know the answers to those questions it means that the moment to start is right now. The key is to do step by step what we should do in order to achieve what we want. We have to make the decision to take the first step and start changing our lives.

My question now is: Have you taken the first step? If you have done it, congratulations! You are one step closer to your goal, keep moving and don’t give up, and if you haven’t done it yet, go ahead and fearlessly take the first step

Do You Really Believe In Your Dreams?

Do you really believe in your dreams? Because dreaming is not enough, in order to make your dreams come true, you must believe in them with all your heart. If you truly believe in your dreams, there is nothing that can stop you from making them become a reality.

"Imagine with all your mind, believe with all your heart, achieve with all your might." #believe

We all have dreams, but only few of us are able to turn them into a reality, and why this happens? Well, the reasons are varied, but one of the main reasons is because we don’t really believe in our dreams, within ourselves, in that place we do not know, where our beliefs are kept, we hold the belief that our dreams are impossible or difficult to come true, and those beliefs actually sabotage our dreams. No matter what we do, we continue to fail in the attempt to make them a reality, because somehow we know they are impossible, and that belief creates our reality.

Believing is one of the main tools we have to create the life we want and if we believe in something as impossible, that belief will help create the fact that our reality is not a place where dreams are possible and our dreams will remain dreams until the end of our days on this earth, without the possibility to actually live the life we have always dreamed of.

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

To a greater or lesser extent we are all dreamers, but because of the limitations we all have in our mind because of our fears imposed by the outside world, only few of us have the possibility to live the life of our dreams, and that’s because those people have not only dreamed, but also believed, not only believed but also they have done everything they could to turn their dreams into a reality. For those people nothing is impossible, they dreamed and they believed with all their might even when nobody believed in them, those people are unstoppable dream hunters, and they never stopped until they succeeded.

Everyone can dream but not everyone can truly believe, and it doesn’t matter how much you dream and how many dreams you have, if you don’t believe in them, if you don’t believe they are possible, they never will be, because nobody is going to try to make something impossible into possible, for instance, you are not going to jump from a building expecting to fly when you know deep inside your heart that flying is impossible, you are not even going to try, you dream of flying, but you know it’s impossible, so you will do nothing, end of story.

“To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.” – Anatole France

Believing makes everything possible, because it actually changes your mental programming which has been programmed with a very narrow perspective, and by changing your beliefs, you change your whole life. When you actually start believing in your dreams, you broaden your perspective and what was once impossible for you, it is now possible, and so, your dreams start to feel more real.

So, do you really believe in your dreams? Try to be honest with yourself – Close your eyes for a second and think about your dream, can you see it? Well, now try to see yourself in your dream, visualize it; make it real, how does it look like? How does it feel? It feels great, isn’t it? Well, now look around you, and try to look yourself at the mirror, can you imagine that person you are seeing capable of achieving anything? Do you believe in that person? Yes? And so do you believe in your dream? Do you believe it’s possible? So what are you waiting for? Go out and make it happen!

Dreams are possible for those who dare to believe they can come true. Believe that what you want is possible, and it will! Dream, Believe, Achieve.

Take Full Responsibility For Your Life

We are all responsible for our own life, but we act as if someone else has control of our lives. The truth is most of the things that happen to us is for our actions or inactions, whatever we decide to do or not to do creates our reality. In order to live the life we want we must take full responsibility for our own life, doing everything we can to create what we would like to experience.

"Accept responsibility for your life. Know that it is you who will get you where you want to go, no one else." - Les Brown #takefullresponsibility

It is not an external factor that limits us from achieving what we would like to achieve – it is us. We limit ourselves with our own beliefs, with our daily thoughts, with the words we speak and with our behaviors and actions. We are constantly creating our future even if we are not aware of it. Everything we do and everything we cease to do determines our destiny.

The problem is that it’s easier to blame our past, our parents, our friends, our boss, our colleagues, our job, the time, the weather, the society, and the whole world for the life we have, because that way we do not feel responsible for our miserable life – we sit in our comfy chair with a cup of coffee and we put ourselves in the role where we always give our best performance – The victim role.

“The moment you accept responsibility for everything in your life is the moment you gain the power to changeanything in your life.” – Hal Elrod

And so we start blaming everyone and everything in our life, making them responsible for our failure. It sounds so convincing that we even start believing ourselves, and one day the victim role becomes part of us, and so we spend our entire life living as if we were victims of this evil and unjust world. And why do we do that? Because it’s easier to blame others and do nothing, than taking full responsibility for our life, doing everything we can, taking risk and accepting challenges to change our life circumstances.

When we take full responsibility for our life we blame only one person for being guilty of our failure – and that person is always us. The bad thing is that is always difficult and harmful for our ego to admit that we are responsible for most of the unpleasant situations that happened in our life – It is not your job responsible for your miserable life, you are responsible for not looking something better, it is not your teacher responsible for your failure, you are responsible for not having studied enough, it is not your family responsible for your lack of success, you are responsible for not pursuing your dreams. Can you see it? Most of the time we are responsible for our own misery, but it is always easier to make others responsible for it.

“The victim mindset dilutes the human potential. By not accepting personal responsibility for our circumstances, we greatly reduce our power to change them.” – Steve Maraboli

The good thing is when you take full responsibility for your life, you allow yourself to have control to change any unpleasant situation of your life by creating another different outcome – for instance when you have decided to stop smoking and now your health has increased, or when you have decided to leave the job that you hate to make your dreams a reality and now you live a happier life, or when you have decided to leave the toxic relationship in which you were in and now you have finally found peace. Can you see it? You have taken full responsibility for your life, and you made the right actions to create a better outcome.

We face difficulties in our lives where we have to deal with awful circumstances, but it depends on us if we are going to remain as a victim of our life circumstances, blaming life for being so unfair, condemning ourselves to a life of suffering, or if we are going to take full responsibility for our lives, doing everything we can to turn the negative into positive, creating a better future for ourselves.

“In the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

Think about these questions: Is there something you are doing that you could do better to increase the probabilities to have the desired outcome? Is there something you are doing that you shouldn’t be doing to have the outcome you want? Is there something you are not doing that you should be doing?

The life you want is possible, the question is: Are you doing what you should be doing in order to get it? Take full responsibility for your life and live the life you have always wanted!

The Pursuit Of Happiness

Every human being on this earth has the same desire: to be happy. Happiness is a wish we all have in common, every human on this planet want to be happy, and everyone wishes to find eternal happiness but, what is it? Is it real? And if it does, how can be achieved?

"Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence." - Aristotle

Understanding Happiness

I have always believed in happiness, but I have never been able to experience a long-lasting happiness but only for a short period of time until I found out the true meaning of it, what gave me the clue where to look for it. The problem was that I always looked for it in a place outside of me, and this was because I had the wrong idea of what happiness really meant and where can one find it.

In my pursuit of happiness I have always asked myself different questions: What is it? Is it real? Where can I find it? Is happiness a destination? Is it a place where one can get and stay there forever? Can I find a long-lasting happiness? Is it possible to be truly happy or is it just a creation of human imagination? These are some of the questions I have always asked myself trying to find out the definition of happiness and what I realized is that my concepts about it were completely wrong.

“Happiness is a journey, not a destination; happiness is to be found along the way not at the end of the road, for then the journey is over and it’s too late. The time for happiness is today not tomorrow.” – Paul H. Dunn

According to the dictionary: happiness is the state of being happy, and to be happy means, to be delighted or glad over a particular thing. However, people have given different meanings to happiness, what can be happiness for some people are sorrow for others. According to how we see the world, and what are our beliefs about life, it is what will form our definition of happiness. Thus, it is very complicated to define it in one particular way, as it is something that has as meanings as people on this planet.

Therefore, does happiness exist? In my opinion, according to my life experience, I believe it is something that truly exists, making it possible to achieve it. The problem with most of us is that our happiness disappears in the blink of an eye, sometimes it disappears even before we can truly enjoy being happy. For instance, when we go on holidays and our happiness is growing every second, and suddenly, in the right moment when we are reaching that moment of absolute bliss, our happiness is snatched from us for our daily routine. Our happiness is always so short that we distrust its existence and this is due to our confused ideas of what it really means.

“Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.” – Denis Waitley

Then, to understand more about it, let’s try to ask different questions and think about it, because as Claude Levi-Strauss said: “The wise man doesn’t give the right answers, he poses the right questions.”

I already expressed my opinion about the existence of happiness so, what is it? Where can we find it? Does it depends on life circumstances? Can happiness be something constant or it will always be interrupted? Is it based in our actions? Do we need to get something special or get to a particular place to experiment happiness? Does our past or our future influence our present happiness? Can an external factor affect our happiness?

What comes to your mind when you think about these questions? Why are you happy when you say you are happy? What is it that makes you feel happiness? And why are you sad when you say you are sad? Have you thought about it? Sometimes, it is in our own questions where we find the answers.

The key to being happy lies in understanding happiness. In my next post I will go deeply into the meaning of it. Until next time my friends!

Find your inner child

Find your inner child, and you will find yourself again. Go back to those times where everything seemed to be possible, those times where you could become whatever you wanted, those times where you could just be yourself.

“When childhood dies, its corpses are called adults and they enter society, one of the politer names of hell.  That is why we dread children, even if we love them, they show us the state of our decay.”

Brian Aldiss

Somehow we have mixed up the meaning of being a child, we gave to that word the meaning of being immature, not fully grown or emotionally undeveloped, and so when someone acts like a child, we say that he is a very immature person. But then I ask myself, every bad behavior which is realized day by day by humans against the world and every being around them, it is not an immature behavior?

The humans, especially those who are considered to be very mature, are the one who are destroying everything and everyone around them, even though they have been blessed with a beautiful world, a magnificent body with a wonderful mind with the power to create everything they want, but which they not used to create but to destroy, it is this a mature behavior?

“Children have neither past nor future; they enjoy the present, which very few of us do.” – Jean de la Bruyere

The adults, those considered mature, are those who are constantly competing with each other, fighting with each other and those who are killing to each other, those people have forgotten the most important values as love, compassion, understanding, kindness, companionship and so on. And they have forgotten all that, because they have become a selfish person, they have become people who are only concerned with their own affairs.

When you grow up and become an adult, leaving the child behind, condemning the child spirit inside you to a death sentence, that’s when most of your dreams die, and that’s when part of your true self dies too, becoming your worst enemy. When you cease to be a child, you become vulnerable to all evil in this world, evil disguised as happiness, and so you let other adults who are also brainwashed by evil, to tell you what should you become in life, and what you should achieve either money, power, fame, material things and other nonsense.

“Be happy for no reason, like a child. If you are happy for a reason, you’re in trouble, because that reason can be taken from you.” – Deepak Chopra

So I prefer to be like a child rather than an adult whose brain has been washed, I prefer the innocence of a child, a child who laugh just because he can, a child with creativity and imagination, a child who dreams, a child that believe that he can do anything in the world, a child who believe that he can be a superhero and help people, a child full of joy and love, a child that can see the beauty in the small things, a child who is happy for no reason, a child who can love even those things that are product of his imagination, a child who has friends no matter where they come from, a child who doesn’t discriminate others for their religion or race, a child who doesn’t know how to hate, a child who loves truly, and who is always loyal to that love without any kind of interest, selfishness, limitations or expectations.

“Hold the hand of the child that lives in your soul. For this child, nothing is impossible.” – Paulo Coelho

A child is an angel, who has become a puppet due to the environment where he was born, an environment which has taught him how to become a person with no dreams, no imagination, no hope, no happiness and no love.

It is time for all adults in this world find their inner child, that child who can make you be yourself again, who can bring you joy, happiness, hope and love, that child who will make you dream again, and will make you believe that everything is possible, that magic and miracles actually exist, so find you inner child, the one will make you a happy person again for no reason, a person who is grateful, specially for the small and more important things in this world, so find your inner child, play, laugh, have fun, enjoy life, be happy, dream, smile and live your life again.

“What a distressing contrast there is between the radiant intelligence of the child and the feeble mentality of the average adult.”

Sigmund Freud
