The Reflection of a Desperate Soul

The reflection of a desperate soul is a short story about a woman who was lost, but who found her true self. It is a story that reflects what is happening to most of the people in our society. Nowadays most of the people are trying to be someone else, trying to be what other people want them to be, forgetting to be themselves. People just exist but they don’t truly live, that’s why there is so much pain and sadness in people’s hearts. So here goes the story…

"None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free." - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

“The reflection of a desperate soul”

It was 5.45 pm on a Tuesday afternoon; it was another common day for a normal woman. She was counting the minutes to get out of the office, or the cell how she used to call it. Finally, she left her prison’s cell to get into the concrete jungle, and as it was the rush hour, the madness was higher than usual. She took her bike as fast as she could and at full speed she headed home.

The concrete jungle was full of ghosts with empty souls, the view was horrific, but she knew a shortcut. She went back home through the secret paradise, which was a lake full of ducks, swans, birds and other different species perfectly hidden in the middle of the city, or the concrete jungle as she used to call it. She usually stopped every day to admire the view for a couple of minutes before going back home, because somehow she always felt some kind of peace while doing it, and as another normal day, she arrived to the lake, got down the bike and went to admire the view, not knowing that her life was about to change forever.

She was watching the animals when suddenly she saw herself reflected in the lake – Who am I? Why am I here? She wondered – She saw her reflection, but couldn’t recognize herself anymore. She always followed the rules, and always did everything she was supposed to do to please her family, friends, and the entire society. But she could see in her reflection her sad and empty eyes that seemed to scream for help, and she realized that she has never been herself, her inner emptiness reflected in her lifeless pale face and in her sad eyes confirmed it. She had forgotten what it was to be a little girl full of joy, dreams and happiness, she had stopped playing with dolls and puppets, and what was worse, she had become one of them, and the ones who were playing were others.

It was in that moment when she realized how lost she was, she never had time to look into her eyes, and reflect about her own miserable reflection. Her soul was empty and her heart seemed to have no pulse, she was a dead body, a ghost, a puppet, a programmed machine of society, she was everything, except herself. And she asked herself one more time – Who are you? Who have you become? – And then anger seized her. She was furious with herself, she was looking at her own reflection with disgust and repulsion, and in that moment of anger and confusion, while looking at her own pathetic reflection in the lake, she fell straight into the water, feelings of sadness and sorrow pierced her body. She stayed there floating on the water, feeling completely lost. She laid down on the lake watching the sky, and said to herself – This is it, I’m lost, I have no way out, I’m a puppet of this society, I don’t even know who I am anymore, I’m just the broken pieces of something I used to be, I have no purpose, no life, I’m not myself, I’m nothing – And she let her body sink into the depths of the lake as she watched the sky.

Suddenly while she was drowning, she saw a beautiful bird with its open wings, flying in the blue sky, she could not help staring at it with a smile on her face, because that bird reminded her about something she had lost many years ago, and that thing was freedom, freedom to be and to do whatever she wanted, freedom to go wherever she wanted, freedom to fly, to travel, to dream. And then after a few seconds she closed her eyes, and in the middle of that reflection and absolute relax, she forgot about the water going through her body, and because of this, she was about to give her last breath when she felt like someone was pushing her back to the surface, when she got there, she opened her eyes, and she saw everything in a completely different way, everything had changed, or in fact, she has changed. And as fast as she could, she got out of the lake and screamed – Freedom! I am free! – She had finally broken the heavy chains that were sinking her. The contact with her own reflection and her inner strength inspired by a divine miracle had opened her eyes, and so she found freedom, she found herself. With all that happiness and joy that gave life to her soul she ran like never before and went back to her home.

On the next day, she felt like she was born again, she realized that in order to be alive, she should be free to do the things she loves and be the person she always wanted to be. And she started living her life again, being her true self. She stopped being a puppet of the society, and far from it, she began to be her true self. And now being herself, being free again, she went out to follow her dreams, and lived her life with love, freedom and passion.

Finding Yourself

I hope you liked the reflection of a desperate soul, it is a story about losing and finding yourself, it’s a story about being free, free to be who you want to be and do whatever you want to do, freedom to go where we want, freedom to follow our heart and dreams. Freedom to choose our own path.

Sometimes in order to find yourself you must feel completely lost at first, because it is in those moments of absolute chaos, when you feel completely lost when you find yourself and with that you find freedom. Knowing who you are and be it, without worrying about what others may think of you means to be truly alive, because when you know who you are, you know why you are here, and discovering your life’s purpose is the key to live a happy and fulfilled life.

Let’s find ourselves, and recover our freedom!

The pursuit of happiness – Part II

Happiness is a treasure that every human being on this earth seeks to find. Fortunately for all of us, happiness is not something exclusive for the minority but it’s something everyone can have. The problem is our lack of understanding of happiness which has given us wrong ideas about what really means and how can be achieved.

"The happiest people seem to be those who have no particular reason for being happy except that they are so." - William Ralph Inge #happiness

Defining Happiness

In my previous post I asked different questions, which can be very helpful to understand and define happiness, because in order to achieve true happiness we must understand it, so we can define better what it really means, because if you possess the knowledge about something, but you can’t understand it in full, then you will never know how it works, which will result in the inability to experience it in the best way possible. For instance, you can have the knowledge of how to ride a bike but if you don’t completely understand how it works, you won’t be able to experience riding a bike.

So we already started asking questions about happiness, we no longer accept the story that someone told us about happiness as being something that can be found in the outside world, we all have experience happiness through external factors but we want more, we want a deeper sense of happiness. Therefore, we have questions, because we want to know the secret of happiness and we want to be truly happy now and forever. That’s why are you here, isn’t it? So let’s get started!

“Happiness is the only sanction of life; where happiness fails, existence remains a mad and lamentable experiment.” – George Santayana

As I wrote in my previous post, happiness according to the dictionary means “the feeling of being happy” and to be happy means “to be delighted or glad over a particular thing” and the etymological meaning of happiness means “good fortune” but how can I explain exactly what it means? The truth is I can’t, because as I wrote before, happiness has as meanings as people on this planet, if you ask ten people from all over the world in one day for one week – What is happiness for you? You will have 70 different answers, where you’ll agree with some of them and others you won’t.

The truth is we all want to be happy but we all have different ideas of what happiness means, so every book you read, every person you listen to will have a different meaning of it. The society in which we live, our family, friends and our culture are key factors, which determine our ideas of happiness. We are being most of the time influenced by our environment, which in most cases defines our beliefs about happiness, and it’s there where we can find the problem, because we accept happiness as a concept created by someone else, such as the idea that money is equal to success and those together gives as result happiness. And so we seek money to be happy and when we have it, we want more and that happens with many other aspects of our lives where we look for happiness everywhere else except in ourselves, and my friends, there is the key for a long-term happiness – True happiness can only be found in oneself.

“Happiness is a conscious choice, not an automatic response.” – Mildred Barthel

So you may be wondering – Okay all of this is very nice but I need the meaning of happiness, I need to know what happiness means, so I can experience it! Well, the answer for a long-term happiness can be found within your heart. You must find your own meaning of happiness, you must find what gives your life a purpose and that way you will be forever happy, your heart already knows the answer, you just need to listen to it without being influenced by external factors. The true meaning of happiness is the meaning you choose to give it, if you haven’t found it yet, must be because you have been always looking in a place outside of you.

The truth is – the recipe for a long-term happiness lies within ourselves, and so it cannot be found somewhere else, and it cannot be found in our past or in a future, because is not a place where we can get or something we can find, happiness is merely a choice, regardless our external circumstances, it is something you choose every second of your life, and your thoughts about something is what makes you happy, not the situation itself. Happiness is the way you see life, we all have different glasses through which we see the world, and according to what we see, and to our beliefs is what we are going to define as happiness. True happiness is when you see the world through positive lenses, being grateful for every single thing you see, choosing to be happy rather than rely on external factors to be so.

Happiness is real and exists within you, for that reason a long-term happiness is possible, nobody can take it from you except yourself. Happiness is the simple choice to be grateful for every little thing you have and for every circumstance of your life. Choose to be happy now and forever!

What is Love?

We live in a world where humans have been separated from each other, but there is something that unites us despite our nationality, breed, gender or age, and we call it love. We speak different languages but we all speak the language of love. We all have experienced love, we all talk about love but: What is love? And what is its true meaning?

“The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds." - The Notebook

We never ask ourselves this question, or at least the majority of us, and I wasn’t the exception. One day a friend of mine asked to me, and when I tried to answer, I was not really sure about the correct answer, so I started a research to know exactly what love means. I started thinking about love and what it was for me, and then I looked for what other people said about love, I looked for the meaning in books, magazines, movies, and everywhere I could, and I found different meanings, what it made me think, that we are a little bit confused about the true meaning of love.

The truth is everyone has a different opinion about the meaning of love, and according to their point of view about life those meanings are totally valid, and I’m not an expert about love to say which answer is right and which one is wrong, and I think anyone is, but judging by how humans interact with each other, I can say we are confused about the true meaning of love, because love can have many meanings, but love should never be defined as painful, love is synonym of happiness, and not unhappiness.

“Love is the ability and willingness to allow those that you care for to be what they choose for themselves without any insistence that they satisfy you.” – Wayne Dyer

Humans over the years have always tried to define love in different ways, we find the word love in everything we see and hear, love has always been used as inspiration for movies, books, songs, and the meanings of love have always been as different as people on this planet. People from around the world with different languages and cultures, religious people, philosophers, scientists, psychologists, writers, Actors, and musicians have always tried to find and express the real meaning of love.

But the truth is, love is something that cannot be defined, categorized or described in any way, love is not a product we can buy in a store, it is not something we can find in a shelf, it is not something we can touch, love is something that can only be experienced, love goes beyond our understanding, and it is not something that can be easily explained in a few words in a dictionary, blog, book or anywhere, love can only be understood when we experience it.

“The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.” – Thomas Merton

So you may be wondering – Okay, if I can only experience it, how can I know that what I am experiencing right now it is actually this thing we call love if I don’t know what love really means?

And that is a very good question, because there we find the problem of our existence. There is so much despair and sadness in this world due to our misconception of love. Our beliefs about love are mistaken and therefore our experience of what we call love is also mistaken. And all this happened because we never really tried to understand what love really means, and when we try to do and experience something we don’t really understand there are very high chances to do it in the wrong way.

This is what is happening right now – Our wrong concept about love has confused us, and that has created so much hate, pain and sadness in our life. We don’t really understand what love means, so we have given to it wrong meanings:

Love is about possession of a person or an object, love is wanting others to be who you want them to be, love is giving someone our heart allowing a person to break it into pieces whenever they want, love means being what we are not, in order to be accepted for others, Love means to satisfy your own needs at the expense of other, love is the feeling we have only when the other person act, think, feel as we want, love means accepting others to treat us as they please, love is material things, Love is about fame, power and money, Love is only about sex, Love is superficial, Love is painful, Love is bad, Love is a waste of time!

As I said before, I’m not an expert and I think in terms of love no human being is, at least not yet, we can all have different and valid meanings, but what we should understand is that love is happiness, not the opposite, our wrong beliefs about it makes us think it is not, as we can see in the examples I gave, our concepts about love are mistaken, and that has created all the sadness and pain in our hearts.

So, what is love?

Definitely is not what I wrote before, but rather the opposite. The dictionary says love is: “A strong feeling of affection and sexual attraction for someone”, but at least in my opinion, love is much more than that, it is much more than just a word, an emotion or a feeling.

Love is caring of you and others, love is unconditional, love gives without expecting anything in return, love is wanting others to be the person they want to be, not the person you want them to be, love is about helping others be the best version of themselves they can be, love is a mutual agreement of giving the best they can for the benefit of both and others, love is when someone else’s happiness is your happiness, love is helping others, love is respect and understanding to each other, even if we think different. Love always constructs and never destroys, Love heals and never hurts, Love is not a finished product, love is something your work each day, love is being happy for the success of others, love is being in the good and the bad moments, love is timeless, love has no boundaries, love doesn’t require anything, love is a connection between human beings, love is not attachment to something or someone because love is free, love is peaceful, love is loyal, love is not when our happiness depends on the thoughts and action of others, love is blind, it cannot see appearances, because it can only see what is invisible for the human eye, love is what makes us better human beings, because love is what we are made of, and love should be our guide!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day! Let today be the day we remember love and let’s spread it to everyone around us, let’s take this day into our hearts day after day for the rest of our lives because love is all there is.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Love should be the most important thing we should remember this day. It doesn’t matter what is our marital status, there is always someone who we can give our love. Most of the time we underestimate the power of love because we are not aware of the extent of our love, even with a small amount of our love we can heal someone else’s heart and make someone happy.

Love is not about gifts, love is those little things that make a huge difference, and love is about giving the best of ourselves to others in order to make them happy. Love cannot be measured in the amount of gifts we give, nor be measured by the amount of money we spend on those gifts, because love can only be measured in the amount of small actions we make day after day to benefit others.

Somehow we got stuck in the system in which we live that has taught us that love should be remembered only once a year, and should be celebrated spending money in material things what actually it cannot be further from the true meaning of love. The truth is we don’t need to buy things in order to show our love, because love should be demonstrated with our daily actions, from the smallest to the biggest action.

Like it or not, this special day exists in most of the people calendar around the world, and usually it cannot be ignored due to the consumer society in which we live. Every February when it gets close to St. Valentine’s Day everyone seems to remember love, and you can see everywhere how love begins to be commercialized as if it were a product we can buy in a store

The truth is that every day is St. Valentine’s Day, and it should be celebrated at every moment year-round. Love is something that should be demonstrated to our loved ones every single day of our lives. I’m not saying that we should not buy gifts on the 14th, in fact I believe that buying someone a gift is a beautiful gesture, but I also believe that gifts should be given at any time and not because we are forced to do so because it is a specific day of the year.

Love is priceless, and everyone on this planet have access to it, and that my friends is the most wonderful gift we have! There is nothing greater than love, because love is all there is. Let’s celebrate love today, and every single day of our lives, it doesn’t matter if we are in a relationship or not, love should be always be celebrated, even if it is only with ourselves, because it is something that exists within us and it’s everlasting.

Happy Valentine’s Day! ♥

Superficial World

We are living in a superficial world where having a life and an appearance that looks good on the outside has become more important than looking good on the inside. We are more concerned about our external appearance that we forgot to pay attention to the kind of person we have become, a person who has forgotten that we are not just a body, but we are a soul which has body.

If the whole world was blind, how many people would you impress?

Relationship between humans have entered into a decay with almost no return, and why? Because we have changed our priceless values that we have as human beings for cheap rubbish, that has consumed our soul and spirit, forgetting what is really important, moving away from the path and losing control of our own lives.

Looking good and having a lot of material things have become the most important motive for our lives, we no longer focus in what kind of person we are, we don’t care anymore if we are a being of love, compassion, understanding or kindness, we don’t care anymore how we treat others as persons, because we don’t care how we treat ourselves, and if we do things to nourish our soul or not, we don’t care about anything of that, because we spend our time in making our external life to look good, and be accepted by others.

“Nowadays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing.” – Oscar Wilde

So what do we care if we don’t care anymore about our soul and our values? We care about how our image is viewed by society. We care about having the best clothes, the bigger the logo of the brand in our clothes the better, we care about having the more expensive house, car, mobile phone, television, and all the material things that have given us a wrong idea of happiness, we care about to have a great body and to be the most beautiful, we care about our makeup, hair, nails, we care about the tanning, we care about the new and absurd diet, we care about to have lots and lots of money, we care about being famous, about having power, and so on, an infinite list of stupid things created by those who dominate the world to entertain our minds and make us ignorant, so they can become more powerful, rich and do whatever they want with the world and every person on it.

The relationships between humans are a disaster, all the human values are in danger of extinction, humans are worried in their own businesses, and they don’t care what is going on with the person next to them, the world is dying thanks to us, there are people who have been forgotten by us, dying in agony, screaming for help, and crying in solitude, people whom nobody cares, because those people are too worried in getting more money, more power, more material things, more beauty, and more stupidity, so they don’t have time to help others, and some of them if they do that is only because they are looking recognition.

“I wish everybody could get rich and famous and have everything they ever dreamed of, so they would know that’s not the answer.” – Jim Carrey

So yes, this is a superficial world, where people are only worried about external matters, and when you are only focused on external matters, you forget to pay attention to the internal matters, and that can only lead us to a disaster, a disaster that you can see everywhere. Parents who are only focused in their jobs, their money, their house, their cars, parents that have forgotten about values, parents who are raising their kids with material things, and parents who want their kids to have a life and an image that only looks good on their outside, but they don’t see that their kids are growing with no values, no appreciation for life, for nature, or for other human beings.

There are also couples in a relationship that are more worried to be a couple who looks perfect in a photograph for social media, rather than being worried about being a couple who really love each other in every moment, day after day, those people in this relationship are more worried in their appearance, rather than being worried in being honest, loyal, and unconditional among them. People at work who are only worried about being the best, about getting more money, those people don’t care if they have to destroy another one to be successful. Friends who are friends in the good moments, but friends who disappear in the bad ones, friends who seems to be friends, but when comes the time to be happy for the success of the other one, they stab you in the back, while they smile you in your face, just because the jealousy within them consumed their heart.

“Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical.” – Sophia Loren

So I could just go on forever with this examples that shows that people are more concerned about external things while they don’t care about what kind of person are on the inside, I’m not saying we should not worry about getting better, or getting more money to get what we want, or getting a better job, or a better house, or car, or whatever, I’m not saying that we don’t have to try to look more beautiful, I’m not saying that we shouldn’t try to be successful in every aspect of our life, what I’m saying here is that we should prioritize our soul and spirit first, we should try to be better person, we should try to first love ourselves as we are right now with our perfections and imperfections, and we should try to be more kind, more tolerant, or to be more understanding, we should try to be more concerned about giving others what we want to receive, we should try to love each other more and then afterwards we should try to get all the material, recognition, power, or whatever you want in your life.

If we could try to look good in the inside first, and become a better person, every relationship between human would be less fake and more real, our love would be less fake and more real and pure, and then our life would be much better.

What you can give to this world as human being to make it a better place for you and others, to make it a place of love and peace, is the most important thing, all else is secondary.

Love Revolution

The human beings are facing a serious problem; the society in which we live is rotting, our brains have been washed, and the big issue of all is our lack of love, we need to love again, we need a love revolution!

 when-the-power-of-love-overcomes-the-love-of-power-the-world-will-know-peace-jimi-hendrix

The virus that has been implanted in our brains have killed most of the most valuable things that we have as human beings: the ability to love ourselves, our world, our nature, and every single human being in this world, we have lost the power to create everything we want, and we have forgotten who we really are and why we are really here.

The greatest problem of all is that we have changed the meaning of love, forgetting what love really means. The world is under so much pain right now, because human beings are not only loving in a very selfish and superficial way, giving love to things with no value, and there we can find the worst of all diseases: the love for money.

“Only when the last tree has died, and the last river has been poisoned, and the last fish has been caught will we realize we can’t eat money.” – Cree Indian Proverb

We are more in love with money, that any other thing in the world. And how can I know that? Because you just need to see the world, and what is happening right now, to see that what I’m saying it’s true! The problem is that the people are so blind, that they cannot see what is really happening. Humans have lost their common sense, becoming victims of their madness for money and power, making the worst atrocities and all in the name of money. Our love for money is the first cause of the pain, suffering and destruction of human existence.

The world is dying, we are pushing and pushing all our resources to the limit, jeopardizing our existence. The world, our home, desperately needs love, but not the cheap and rotten love we give every day but we need real and pure love. We need to learn how to love again and spread love to the world, so we can heal our hearts and the whole world. The solution is to focus in what really matters, learning to love ourselves again, and everyone out there, we need to understand again that we are not separated from each other, and what we do to others, we do to ourselves too.

“The planet does not need more successful people. The planet desperately needs more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers and lovers of all kinds.” – Dalai lama

There are some questions about human behavior that have been in my mind, which I cannot understand:

How is it possible that are still people out there killing each other, people stealing, people with no home, with nothing to eat, with no drinking water, with no access to education, health and with no kind of right to have a decent life?

How is it possible that we know that we are destroying our planet, knowing that the result will be the end of life on earth and we don’t do anything about it?

How is it possible that we keep separating people for nationality, race, religion, gender, age and social status giving human rights depending where you belong, having some of them more rights than others to have a decent life?

How is it possible that there are people still deprived of their freedom? How is it possible that slavery still exists?

How is possible that we have been blessed with a wonderful planet which have all the resources for the survival of the human beings and we destroy it every day by our careless actions?

How is it possible that we have been blessed with a magnificent human body, which allows us to experience the wonderful gift of the life on earth and we destroy it by consuming all the crap we consume each day, without taking care of it until it’s too late?

How is it possible that we have been blessed with an extraordinary mind, having all the power, abilities and skills to do and create wonderful things and we use it to destroy?

How is it possible that we have a beautiful heart with the wonderful ability to feel and to give love, and we use it to hate and hurt?

“In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

And as I said before, the answer to all this questions is that we have lost out common sense, we mixed up the real priorities in life with less important things, we forgot about love, and we have become so blind that we can’t see what is happening, and if we can see it, we just don’t care, because we don’t want anything to distract us from our desperate race after money, power, material things, and a social status that will make us stand out from the rest. We have become so superficial that we forgot what is really important in life, allowing the evil in all of us, to bring the worst of ourselves, and give it back to the world, what have created a reality of hate, suffering, insanity and pain.

And what it makes this entire situation sicker, is that we have accepted that reality as an unchangeable fact, taking the easy and cowardly way, as it takes a lot of courage to go against the flow and do what it takes to change the world. It’s easier to complain than do something to change it.

“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” – Mother Theresa

But today we can change history, we can create a better future. Don’t settle with this world believing what they told you about it, that this is the real one, the ideal, this perverse system has confused us, maddened us. But I know that deep inside yourself you know that, you want a better world, you yearn another world. If deep inside your heart you feel that this life doesn’t bring you joy and happiness, don’t settle, there is still hope. Life can be better that this sinister reality that consume our souls.

So, what the world and humanity need is that the people gather together, we need a group of soldiers with heart willing to love, being ready to build and not to destroy, giving all the love they can, to open the eyes of human beings, so we can change our reality and the whole destiny of the human race.

It is time my friends, to give the world what is lacking the most, it is time to stop with all sadness and pain and suffering in the world, we need to make humans remember that love exists, and so heal this hell that surround us. Let’s gather together in this revolution, in the name of God, in the name of love, and let’s go out fearless and courageous to conquer human’s hearts with love. It is time for a LOVE REVOLUTION!

Prisoners of the system

We think we live in a free world, we think we are free, but in fact that is only an illusion, because we are prisoners of the system, the one we think we dominate, but which in fact it dominates us, having us under its control. We think, we act, and we talk based on the beliefs that they have imposed on us. There’s no such thing as freedom, our freedom is an illusion.

no-social-system-will-bring-us-happiness-health-and-prosperity-unless-it-is-inspired-by-something-greater-than-materialism-clement-attlee

We have been categorized, such as in a product catalog, in which the human beings are separated from each other by nationality, religion, social belief, gender, race, sexual preferences, external appearance, social status, and so on. An infinite catalog, that define us and which we use to determinate if someone is better than other, and if deserves something or not. Based on that belief, we separate each other and is there where the worst miseries of the world come into play.

We start to judge and condemn others, we compete, we do horrible things to each other, we envy, we hate, we become selfish and without feelings and we think based on the belief that we are all different. Some people believe that are more superior than others simply because they belong to the privileged group inside this catalog created by the society in which we live. These few people, the elite, the privileged believe that they have the right to hurt, humiliate, torture and even kill other human being. The problem is that we sell our souls day after day, ceasing to be our true self, to become a puppet from this twisted, illogical and selfish system in which we live.

“You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inert, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.” – Morpheus (The Matrix)

We live in a world where the appearance is the primordial, in which our idols are plastic dolls, unreal and with empty minds. We came to a point of such madness, that we have come to believe that to achieve the beauty standards imposed by this society makes us superiors, believing that we have the right to hurt another one that doesn’t meet the stupid requirements of the beauty industry. The worst part is that some people have killed themselves because they have been consumed by these stupid, unreal, fictitious and meaningless standards, believing that they didn’t deserve to live and be happy by just being the way they were.

It’s a world full of enslaved people, prisoners of money and material things, for which we have committed the worst atrocities. It’s for money that a man loses himself, forgetting all types of values or respect for another human. We forget to live by going after material things that don’t give us any kind of happiness, as we always go after the new, the best, and blinded we go through life consuming the crap that they sell to us, making that our fake motive of happiness. What we don’t know is that everything we buy has a price, and the price is not valued in papers with a number on it, but its real value it’s valued in the amount of time of our lives we spend to earn it.

“The price of anything is the amount of life you exchange for it.” – Henry David Thoreau

We live in a world where we complain about injustice, but we do not do anything about it, we live in a world where we are always looking what other people do or cease to do, and we don’t look at what we are doing, we complain, we blame, but when we need to do something to change the world, we don’t do anything and we only have excuses.

We live in a world where we are too worried about ourselves that we cannot see around us, there are people killing each other in wars and we don’t do anything about it, there is people starving because they don’t have anything to eat and we throw food every day, there is people who don’t have drinking water and we waste it like if there were an inexhaustible resource of it. But human beings have everything: mind, intelligence, skills, abilities, and resources, everything to make this world, a wonderful place, but we destroy it, and we self-destruct day after day, blind and lost in a complete wrong system, that condemn many people and benefit a few.

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

The day we gather together, the day we stop blaming each other, the day we stop separating ourselves by nationality, language, culture, gender, rich or poor, the day we begin to value the important things of life, the day we act against injustice and we stop blaming others, and the day we stop making the biggest criminals of the world to become more and more rich by consuming the crap they sell us: clothes made with slaves, alcohol that destroy people, electronics that make people stupid, cigarettes that kill people, drugs that consume us, food that poison us and all the trash they give to us, and the day we start being the change we want to see in the world by doing unto others as we would like them to do unto us, and above all, the day we start loving each other, that day all the suffering, the pain and injustice will be over.

We have everything, there is nothing that we don’t have, and the problem is that we don’t do anything. We born, we live, we exist and we die like puppets, believing that we are somebody, when in fact we are dominated and handled by someone else, by the ones who belongs to the elite club, the ones who made this system, the ones who locked us up.

Wake up my friends, we still have time to free ourselves from the chains of this society that oppress us, and get the victory, for us, and for all those that their voices have been silenced! Let’s raise our voices and get back our freedom!
